About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I bought this skin care sysem on 9/4/10…cleanser, moisturizer and correcting serum…noticed my chin was looking a smidge better by Sunday morning..used it again Sunday night…woke up Monday morning to find the skin on and around my chin sore to the touch and my eyes swolen. I used a little more of the product on Sunday night than on Saturday and am avoiding anything what so ever on my face right now. Could just be it’s not meant for my skin, and I’m good with that…but someone should know that this is a possible reaction and it’s not a good thing…It’s Tuesday, haven’t used it since Sunday night, and I am still just as swollen and miserable as I was yesterday. Gonna return it to Sephora.

Me too! I don’t have “sensitive skin” either. Been using since Saturday 2x/day. It’s now Wednesday and I will be returning it. I realized that my face was feeling kind of tight and then I took a closer look in the mirror. I have tiny bumps all over my face. It looks like a heat rash. No peeling though. When I touch my face, it feels sensitive like I’m have an allergic reaction or something. No noticeable swelling or redness. I usually respond very well to salicytic acid though. I’ve never had this kind of reaction to it.
