Lancome Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin Lip Gloss Review and Swatches

Hey chicklets!

Kinda a busy week for me and super hyped it’s almost the weekend phew! As always I’m behind on comments, e-mails, etc….sorry. I feel like I haven’t talked to you all in ages for some reason, weird right?

Any fun weekend plans for you guys? Whatcha up to? Do share!

Any green makeup divas out there? If you answered yes, you’ll probably adore the new Lancome Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin Lip Gloss!

Check ’em!

What Is It?

Lancome has released a limited run of four shades of Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin Lip Gloss. Like the regular Lancome Juicy Tubes we all know and love these sport the same shiny mirror finish but have 100% Natural Ingredients, 100% Natural Flavors and Fragrances, 100% Natural Coloring Agents, and FSC Certified 100% Recyclable Material Carton. Pretty sweet pickings if you’re a lover of green friendly makeup.

The Good…

As with all Lancome Juicy Tubes this has an incredibly super glossy formula that leaves lips drenched in gorgeous shine and glossiness. I find the shades always have a little subtle, natural color pay off but nothing dramatic or easily noticed if you have pigmented lips already. The formula isn’t sticky nor is it tacky yet it manages to wear quite long and comes across as a very light wearing gloss that’s both comfortable and pretty on lips. Of course, this new version’s appeal would be its organic formula which is pretty fab if you’re way conscious about what goes into your makeup products particularly ones like lipgloss which you end up consuming most of by the end of the day if you’re a chronic licker or biter.

I got two shades to try which were Blushing Beauty and Rose Pretty. Blushing Beauty is a transparent baby pink which applies for the most part transparent. Rose Pretty is a rosy berry shade which gives lips a very subtle kiss of red.

The Bad….

I’m not keen on the taste of these as they kinda taste a little like cardboard….weird I know but true. Sadly, they are only available for a LE run and Lancome only released four shades so it isn’t a ton of variety. Hopefully if they sell well maybe Lancome will consider keeping them on board and releasing new shades.

Who Might Like Them?

  • Green friendly makeup users.
  • Anyone who likes a light, long wearing lip gloss.
  • Anyone who wants super glossy lips!
  • Anyone who desires a great gloss for using on top of lipstick to make it pop!

Who Might Not Like Them?

  • Anyone who isn’t so green friendly and already owns a few Juicy Tubes already (I really don’t think you’ll need to indulge in these if you aren’t on board with more of an organic range of makeup and you already own a few Juicy Tubes, unless of course you want the cute flowery package which the regular glosses don’t sport…..)
  • Anyone who desires a pigmented gloss (these aren’t very pigmented just a subtle touch of color if you’re lucky).

Final Thoughts….

Lancome Juicy Tubes is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary and this is a great release to get on board with if you haven’t experienced the joys of the gloss. I’m a big lover of the gloss as it has such a great super glossy formula with a lighter formula sans tack and stick. I’d definitely indulge if you’re a green makeup user or you haven’t experienced the joys of a Juicy Tube before.

Quite nice but def not keen on the taste….hmmm…
