L’Occitane Makeup Review and Swatches: L’Occitane Ete Indien Peony Liquid Shine Lip Color Review and Swatches
I gotta say I’m loving really hard on L’Occitane Makeup Collection at the moment. Anyone haul?
I think I’m liking it so much because it’s simple beauty which is great for the warm weather. I mean, who wants a ton of makeup on their face in the warmer weather when you can wear less and still look lovely?
Jump ahead for my review on the new lipgloss from L’Occitane!
I’ve purchased a few pieces of the range so far and I’m looking forward to indulging further because as I said I really am loving what I’ve tried so far. Today I have the L’Occitane Ete Indien Peony Liquid Shine Lip Color available for review which I got a week or two ago.
What is it?
L’Occitane Ete Indien Peony Liquid Shine Lip Color is a sweet little pink shade of gloss with full color pay off and a nice light formula.
The Good….
Ete Indien or Indian Summer is a shade of rosy peony shade. Mmm it kinda has a certain fuschia to it but also a bit of rose as well. Quite a pretty shade for Summer. The shade was inspired by the petals of a peony and the shades of Indian Saris. The formula actually contains peony extract which I thought was kinda fun…!
The texture is non-sticky, non-tacky and very smooth and watery. It has nice color pay off so it acts as a gloss and a lip color all in one. In some cases, you may not even want to deem it a gloss as it doesn’t impair incredible shine on lips but gives lips more of a blush of color, acting like a lip color rather than a gloss.
The Bad…
Mmm wear time kinda stinks on this guy but still loving on it none the less.
Who Might Love It?
- Anyone who likes chic little makeup items!
- Anyone who likes a lighter gloss that doubles up as a lip color.
- Anyone who enjoys whimsical packaging (the cap has a cute peony design).
Who Might Not Love It?
- Anyone seeking a long wearing lip product.
Final Thoughts….
I enjoyed it. Granted it’s probably not going to change my lip gloss life but for days I want a bit of color on my lips this is ideal. I can slick it on as a fresher up throughout the day and it leaves behind a beautiful shade of rosy fuchsia (apologies for my shabby swatch pictures, my lighting was way off) sans a sticky, tacky formula. It feels very comfortable on and the watery texture is actually very refreshing. The price isn’t too bad either at $14.
I do believe I will indulge in more colors.
Likey!
Anyone try anything from the L’Occitane Makeup Collection?
