Lotree Luminous Moisture Tinted SPF 30 Review and Swatches

Sasa has started carrying one of my fav beauty brands from Korea, Lotree. Great time for me to start hauling out parts of my stash and reviewing for you right?

Jump ahead to hear about the Lotree Luminous Moisture Tinted SPF 30.

I’ve actually had this little guy tossed in the makeup graveyard for ages and considering Sasa is now carrying the brand it’s always a good time to give you the word before you go in blind folded and indulge in something you possibly won’t like or need. Another words, spend my money before you spend your own, wink!

What is it?

A one size fits all shades 3 in 1 makeup base that plays the part of a BB Cream, an SPF, and a tinted moisturizer.

The Good….

Honestly, the multitasking tendencies of Lotree Luminous Moisture Tinted should appeal to the masses, sure did appeal to me. I love the fact that it contains an SPF 30 plus properly preps and primes for makeup and if I desire works on its own to even out skin tone while offering lighter coverage. Packaging rocks it as it sports the silver and purple Lotree design which I absolutely adore!

The Bad…

Keyword, luminous aka shimmer. Basically the cream has a fine shimmer but that isn’t so bad (I don’t mind shimmer, I mean, need I even tell you that?) but the problem is the “luminous” is actually a pearlescent finish which is personally thee worst finish on my face. My face is round and a pearly glow is simply not flattering as it makes my face look really full and gross plus the layer of shimmer added to the mix gives off a really bad disco ball effect.

The formula leans towards the runny side plus it’s not pigmented enough to offer much coverage and doesn’t quite fit the bill for evening out skin tone…it’s ok, just not great at accomplishing this job!

Who Might Like It?

  • You may like it if you like pearl-like finishes that give skin a highlighted glow.
  • You might like it for the packaging alone (hey that’s why I purchased it).
  • You might like it if you want a makeup base to give your skin a lit up, glowy look.

Who Might Not Like It?

  • Chicklets with a fuller face (all that pearly glow stuff really doesn’t do wonders for those of us with chubby cheeks).
  • Anyone who hates on shimmer particularly shimmer guest starring in their facial makeup.

Final Thoughts….

If you’ve been cruising the Lotree section on Sasa and considering dumping this into your cart, I’d personally say nay. You can get a few other items that are considerably nicer from the brand that perform way better. The price is actually higher than what I paid directly from Korea at near $30 which makes it even less appealing in my eyes.

Skip it.

Buy something else.

But if you must…

It’s available now from Sasa.
