NP Set On The Double Pen Mascara and Concealer and NP Set On The Double Pen Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Blush Review and Swatches

For the record, I happen to be one of those people that wants to take EVERYTHING with them when they go on holiday. I seriously have a hard time deciding what to take and what not to take and in some cases I even pack a separate suitcase which contains my shoes for the week or weeks I am away. Sick right?

If I have that hard a time figuring out what footwear to bring can you imagine the drama of packing makeup and skincare? It’s a circus in most cases and I end up with a train case full of crazy stuff.

If you’re like me or you’re more of a simple type you may appreciate the joys of the new NP Set On the Double Pens.

Jump!

What is it?

NP Set On the Double Pens are a simple way to carry around two products with you (and lessen your vacay suitcase as well) in a dual end pen. Two versions are available so you can choose from NP Set On The Double Pen Mascara and Concealer or NP Set On The Double Pen Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Blush which basically allows you to carry around a mascara and a concealer or a blush and liquid liner in one pen style package. Saves space and makes it easy to tote around your essentials. Sweet!

The Good….

Both are fairly cute items and priced at an affordable $12.95 (two products? It’s like paying $6.50 per an item, really not pricey at all). I personally liked the NP Set On The Double Pen Liquid Eyeliner and Cream Blush best because the blush end acted as blush as well as an eyeshadow and lipgloss however as you know I’m an utter idiot with liquid liner so this wasn’t used as much as the blush end. The blush is a pretty shade of shimmering coral which only bestows a subtle kiss of color on cheeks but it also multitasks if you dare on eyes and lips.

NP Set On The Double Pen Mascara and Concealer surprised the hell out of me as the mascara has a full size brush which creates incredibly long lashes! Sweet! The concealer wasn’t my best friend sadly and acts more like a highlighter due to its shimmering beige shade and lack of pigmentation. Personally I wouldn’t use this to conceal as you’ll end up looking a little disco-ballish if you do however a quick stroke on cheek bones or on your brow bone creates a nice luminous glow.

The Bad…

I didn’t make proper use of the liquid liner or the concealer much so I’d love to see the mascara paired up with a blush as I think I’d get more use out of that combo.

Who Might Like It?

  • Anyone who wants to carry alot LESS makeup with them.
  • Anyone who likes the idea of simplifying their cosmetics with dual end products that serve two purposes instead of merely one!
  • Anyone traveling that can’t bring everything they really want with them.

Who Might Not Like It?

  • Anyone who doesn’t like the idea of liquid liner (You might think it’s slightly a waste of money to purchase the liner combo and proceed to use the blush only like I did).

Final Thoughts….

The price and the idea of the product is fabulous in my opinion particularly because airlines are so very strict about what you can and can’t tote around with you. These simplify what I’m carrying plus allow me to have some variety along for the ride. However, I definitely would love to see better combo perhaps a cream eyeshadow and a mascara or a blush and a mascara as I didn’t make too much use of the liquid liner plus I really don’t think, universally speaking, a ton of woman embrace the use of liquid liner anyway.

Cute.

hey muse! you totally read my mind i LOVE multi-tasking combos.Mark has this products that are really cool, like a lip gloss and liner has the name hook up lipgloss or liner.what it does is you can use the lip gloss by itself or buy the hook up connector which connects the lip gloss to one side or whatevr else that can hook up! even the brushes can do this, very handy and travel friendly.you should check it out!

I think the Mark version of these products are better, you can hook up any two products so you get exactly the duo you want! Plus the mascara from Mark is fab too and comes in different colours. = )
