Reader’s Request: Shills Anti-Acne Cleansing Oxygen Mask Review and Shills Whitening Oxygen Mask Review

Hey there, hi there.

Since Sasa is selling a slew of Shills goodies (Taiwanese beauty brand) I’ve gotten a ton of requests to review items I have in my own collection. My most recent request was from a reader who asked after the Shills Anti-Acne Cleansing Oxygen Mask and Shills Whitening Oxygen Mask.

Now I’m a big lover of Oxygen Masks of any kind so of course I had these tucked in my skincare graveyard….(that’s speaks for how well I like them eh?).

What Are They?

A revitalizing deep cleansing mask that uses a foaming bubble action to exfoliate and moisturize skin.

The Good…

I love oxygen masks if anything I love them simply because I dig how they foam up. The basic concept of the mask is it starts out life as a gel and foams up madly on your face after a brief massage. How’s it work? Simply pump a few squirts of the gel into your hand and massage onto a dry face. At first the gel remains stationary for a moment but slowly begins to foam up as you sit and relax. It’ll fizzle, bubble, and form a complete forth of lather on your face which you can wash off after 3 to 5 minutes.

The mask is fun to use plus it makes my face feel super clean without over drying or making it tight.

The Bad…..

Sadly, Shills Oxygen Masks only have one thing going for them, the foaming action, other than this they pretty much do nothing at all.

I got the Anti-Acne formula and the Whitening one a long time ago and they have been sitting under my vanity for ages because they simply do not work. I thought the Acne one would be great for random break outs (not that I get ’em much but hey you never know) and of course I’m all about whitening my skin so the Whitening one did so appeal. Sadly, after use I really don’t see much different in my skin tone, texture, or overall appearance aside from the fact that my skin felt super clean.

Who Might Like It?

• You might like these if you want an affordable oxygen mask.
• Anyone who wants to experiment with an oxygen mask and never tried one before.

Who Might Not Like It?

• Anyone who expects results from their skincare (you aren’t going to see much of anything using this).

Final Thoughts….

These are only $8.50 on Sasa and even cheaper by a small bit in Taiwan however I don’t think it’s worth shelling out the cash for since neither does much of anything. Perhaps, if you want to try out an oxygen mask and aren’t willing to dish out mega money for one these might appeal but aside from that they have no real redeeming qualities worthy of your cash.
