MAC In The Groove Review, Swatches, and Photos
Get groovy with the new MAC In the Groove Collection launching this week (July 8th) from MAC.
Check it!
Some of you are going to be incredibly chuffed proper over the new MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows. I think the main rant about MAC Mineralize Shadows is the fact that they are so incredibly shimmery and have such a ton of fall out. The MAC In the Groove Mineralize Shadows leave behind fall out woe, shimmer, and sparkle, replacing it with a smooth satiny, almost semi-matte formula with softer color pay off and a smooth formula. The shades I tried had no fall out, no hardcore shimmer, and were all very “grown up”, work friendly shades. The shadows are made up on three shades, the middle of which can be used as a liner as it’s the most pigmented of the three. There are a total of nine combinations releasing and I got the chance to try out three.
Togetherness is made up of lavender, pearl purple, and satin grey. Style Influencer is satin silver, pearly deep blue (ideal dupe for Bobbi Brown Denim Rinse Eyeshadow), and Mauve Brown. And my favorite of the three, In the Groove which is a satin green, pearl burgundy, and Satin coral.
I haven’t attempted a look yet but I will say I’ll be properly challenged when using these as the shades all work well together but my technique and lack of creativity will make for some serious issues during application.
Also available, as you may know from my squealing, is the re-release of Stereo Rose, Sadly, I didn’t get one to try out but I did get By Candlelight (repromote) and Comfort Mineralize Skinfinish. There are four MSF releasing with this collection so if you’re a fond fan you may be able to skip as these are all repromotes however if you’re new to MAC, now’s your chance to experience the joys of Mineralize Skinfinish. Comfort is a golden bronze and By Candlelight is a Soft Golden Pink.
More Mineralize Blush Duos on the way…..one I got to test out was Happy Together a combo of caramel and pearly beige. This is a nice nude shade however I’m not too much of a fan of the Mineralize Blushes as they come across to frosty for me.
And finally several MAC Cremesheen Glasses are releasing one of which is On The Scene, a milky coral beige that’s pretty transparent on lips.
If you’re a big fan of MAC Mineralize products, In the Groove is the traditional “baked”, “mineral” release for MAC that includes a large range of products for face, lips, and cheeks. I think the re-introduction of some older shades of MAC MSF such as Petticoat and Stereo Rose should be very exciting for many people, myself included. I’m pretty impressed with the smoother formula of the new shadows. Overall, MAC In The Groove should have a few products to love on.
I’m looking forward to seeing the full release this week at my MAC counter as I NEED Stereo Rose.
