These products looks more like those from the little girls section. I was really imagining another packaging and not such a childish one, or maybe who knows if this collection is for younger girls. :)

UGH. What ugly packaging. From the teaser I was expecting something edgy and cool. This is just tacky, boring, and cheap looking. This looks like something Disney would release at their store for the kids.

Other then the eyeshadows which let’s be honest, look more then a little awkward, I LOVE this packaging… Of course I wanted something a little more edgy, a little more MAC, But at the end of the day MAC didn’t ruin a good thing which in this case is Disney. Yes it’s a little on the young side but that’s when most of us fell in love with these characters! Plus the Disney Villians are so Fabulous on their own that they don’t need to be re-vamped!

    Love the website :)

thanks erica *hugs* glad you enjoy my site!

You have a valid point, we fell in love with all these characters as a younger person so it definitely honors the youthful tradition of Disney :D but I agree a little more edge would have been nice too!

Love it. Fits in some way the villains since they are hated and “ugly” so the get a cheap and unloved packaging. Still gonna haul if I have the chance :)

Those packagings… I’m having a hard time with them >_> I mean they don’t have to change the whole characters but they could have worked on the designing more :P The more I look at it, the more I’m accepting it though ^^
But oh well, the inside is more important! And for those who likes repotting their products it won’t really matter I guess :P I don’t repott though, I only own three MAC shadows and no palette to put them in

Agree with Marsha. It actually looks Fake =/ I was definitely not expecting MAC to just copy+paste the characters on the lid =/

Oh man, these look sad lol. You’d think they would have made them HARDER for counterfeiters, look how easily they tried to dupe the Barbie line a few years ago, now all they have to do is stick a craptastic sticker on a pot! :D

These pictures have been circulating practically every other blog out there. I’m so so so so so hoping these pictures are shoddy and the “real” product packaging looks different. =P But it seems like most people think it’s the real thing so who knows..

I’ll keep crossing my fingers. If it IS the real thing, I’m stil going to haul anyways. But shame on MAC for not coming up with some cool, unique packaging on such an anticipated collection. These look like a cross between the kid’s makeup you’d find at Disnleyland or maybe even Claire’s and fake MAC you’d find on Ebay.

    Hi!

First time that i’m commenting on here, but i have lurked around hehe ;-)

The packaging looks SO childish, it’s a shame! I don’t think i’ll be buying any of those OR if i feel like i need something from that collection, i’ll sure feel a tremendous urge to depot everything.

I agree with Erica. We were little when we fell in love with these characters, or at least feared them. They are Disney creations and this is after all a Disney collection, not inspired by. That being said, I, too, felt that this was under-done. I’m pretty sure I could put a sticker of one of the villians on a MAC shadow and get the same effect. I was hoping that MAC would be able to keep the Disney part alive while making them look a little 3-dimensional or have a little more detail. I’m disappointed in the packaging but of course, as a true MAC fan & Disney die-hard, I will be purchasing the entire collection.

I might buy some things from this collection and I’ll de-pot them if it seems necessary lol… I don’t think this packaging is very appealing at all… I thought MAC would be able to express their love for Disney villains in a more…. Sophisticated way? I hate how obsessed I am with packaging :/

Count me as someone who thinks the packaging looks cheap. Now I’m not excited about this, but at least the disappointment came early and I can move on to bigger, better things. Like…I dunno. But I’m sure you’ll post it Muse. That’s why I love your site. :)
