Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Protector Finishing Powder Review and Swatches

Anyone having super success with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser?

Damn, dude, I want to love it long time but for some reason it hates me!

Anyway, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Protector Finishing Powder is the newest in the Instant Age Rewind Collection. Anyone see it at their local drugstore? The displays are going up so you should be able to snag it now.

Helpful hint:

The display units have coupons for $3 off Instant Age Rewind Eraser but SOME displays also have $3 off the actual powder. The powder retails for $6.99 so after coupon you get it for $3.99. Sweet right?

’nuff chatting, on with the review.

Pressed powder that promises full to sheer coverage with an enhanced formula that includes an SPF 25 and goji berry for a radiant complexion.

This is a nice sheer, affordable setting powder for makeup. It comes packaged in a dual compartment design that houses the powder on top and a full size mirror and puff below.

The price is $6.99-$7.99 at major drugstores or can be purchased this week at Ulta, Walgreens, and CVS for buy 1, get 1 50% Off so it’s a pretty nice budget option if you’re looking for a setting powder.

Count me impressed with the fact that it contains a whopping SPF 25. That’s quite a nice little extra if you’re in the market for a powder with high SPF.

The powder is formulated with anti-aging in mind so it’s supposed to set makeup without aging skin or accentuating fine lines. I got mine in the shade creamy natural which is a nice creamy shade with a tiny hint of beige.

Although it’s meant for aging skin I find that the powder actually ages my skin.

The formula isn’t as silky as I like my setting powders to be. First swipe with the included puff gets little to no product, a second harder swipe will get some product but not near enough to offer full coverage as per the description of the powder. The powder sits unevenly on my skin and even though my skin is oily at the moment it still looks dry, patchy, and very unflattering on my skin.

I imagine if you have fine lines this will make them look worst as I don’t even have them and I’m looking aged after wearing this, imagine what it would do if I did have lines?

  • Anyone seeking a budget setting powder!
  • Anyone interested in a setting powder that can work as a foundation with sheer coverage and a high SPF.

  • Women with fine lines.
  • Older women seeking a powder to brighten skin or make it look years younger!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Pressed Powder is a nice budget friendly option but there are any number of better powders at the drugstore that are along the same lines and perform way better. The powder made my skin look dull and aged while the formula was sheer and uneventful. Although the SPF 25 was very appealing I felt like the formula itself wasn’t up to the task of setting my makeup never mind protecting my skin.

No likey.

You could give it to me free and it would still end up the makeup graveyard!

Anyone try?
