About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’d say… Lookin’ to Rock Rita??? I guess??? They all sound nice, but I’ve never tried the others. I love the boxes they come in. Thanks for letting us know, muse!

I loved My Place Or Yours Gina, and I am really excited to try So Hooked on Carmella.

I finally tried them all, Muse:

I enjoyed Carmella — it was very similar IMHO to LaVanila’s Vanilla Grapefruit, only the grapefruit-citrus note wasn’t as sharp, and the overall fragrance was a lot softer. Lasting power was pathetic, so I’m better sticking with LV.

The coconut-vanilla notes in Rita made it smell very similar to EL’s Bronze Goddess, but it had a green overlay as well, which made it a bit more refreshing. I liked it, but again, lasting power was nil, so I’m sticking with Bronze Goddess.

Eva was very clean, green, and a bit “soapy” smelling. Reminded me of fresh laundry. Unlike the other two, the fragrance was very strong and lasting power was tremendous — I sprayed on in the evening, and woke up with it still smelling strong. Unfortunately, I tend to prefer the sweeter-vanilla smells of Carmella and Rita, so lasting power won’t sell me here.
