Prestige Cosmestic Color Treat Anti-Aging Lipstick Review and Swatches

Call me no nonsense but I honestly don’t see the point of anti-aging cosmetics. Granted, I am obsessed with anti-aging skincare but extending it to my cosmetics seems pointless.

Prestige Cosmestic Color Treat Anti-Aging Lipstick contains some sort of anti-aging technology the point of which is lost on me. Can’t we just have a cool lipstick sans bells and whistles please?

Yeah, I guess I’m kinda no nonsense when it comes to lipstick.

Jump!

Prestige Color Treat Anti-Aging Lipstick has an anti-aging complex that makes lips look fuller while hydrating them even after color is removed….

Packaging and price wise Prestige’s newest lipstick is ahead of the game. You can find this lipstick for around $3.99-$5.99 depending where you buy it. It comes housed in a rather cute gray tube with Prestige written in pink script on the top. You won’t be embarrassed whipping this out of your purse for touch ups as I find the packaging quite sweet.

The lipstick itself is decently pigmented with a slight citrus taste. I purchased the shade Radiant Coral which has a slight metallic finish. The shade is really super for Summer as it leans towards being a mix of golden coral and pink grapefruit, quite gorgeous!

Aside from pigmentation, price, and packaging, I felt the lipstick wasn’t all that incredible. It applies like a lip balm and doesn’t glide easily onto lips. The overall feel is very waxy, not exactly what I look for in a lipstick formula. If I wanted a lip balm I’d have purchased one, not loving the idea of a lip balm disguised as a lipstick!

  • Anyone who likes lip balm (hey, it’s glorified lip balm with color!)!

  • Anyone who wants lipstick to ACT like lipstick (this acts like a pigmented lip balm!).
  • Anyone who doesn’t like waxy chapsticks!

You may like this if you enjoy lip balms, I personally prefer glosses and hydrating lip treatments. For me the waxy formula is unforgivable and uncomfortable on my lips. Although the color is very pretty, I couldn’t get too excited about much else aside from the packaging. Although it does wear pretty long it doesn’t feel entirely comfortable on my lips so I’m missing all that long wear action due to a waxy feel on my lips which makes me want to wipe it right off. I didn’t experience any long term anti-aging benefits however I haven’t been using it long enough so who knows.

You may like this if you’re a balm lover but I personally prefer something with a bit more hydration which glides onto my lips and doesn’t need a tugging action to apply.

No likey.

Budget price isn’t worth it in the long run.

Anyone try?

I bought one and dumped it. It’s bad. I really dislike all the anti-aging stuff they put in color cosmetics these days. I don’t think it makes the formulas any better.

pickledgreens PHEW I thought I was being too harsh. Really awful formula wasn’t it?! plus anti-aging in your lipstick? Just sounds POINTLESS!
