Stila It Girl Palette Review and Swatches

With the introduction of the new Stila Travel Palettes this morning you may be wondering what else to haul to justify the $7.95 shipping.

Well….

You can wait for tomorrow since Stila has all sorts of Friday Steals and Deals they do weekly OR you can also haul the Stila IT Girl Palette.

Check it!

The Stila It Girl Eye Shadow Palette is a trio of three shades including Stila’s best seller Kitten and two exclusive shades Chloe and Lame. Best part? It’s $10 bucks!

I gotta throw it out there and say that I’m more impressed with this palette than I was with the Stila Pro Artist Palette. I mean I spent $28 on the pro palette and I got way better packaging and design with the ten buck It Girl Palette, believe me, the irony isn’t lost at all on me here.

So what do you get?

Well you’re getting three nice size Stila shades and two exclusive shades to the palette. Kitten is a nude pink, Lame a shimmering gold (easily duped for one of the shades in the Pro Artist Palette), and Chloe a shimmering bronze (again easily duped). I felt like the palette is basically half of the shades you’d get in the Pro Palette but for a fraction of the cost. Kinda incredible deal if you don’t have the cash to throw down for the $28 buck version.

Shadows are all smooth as butter, blend easily, and create a beautiful warm look for Summer. Palette itself is a hard case shell and quite large for it’s price tag, great presentation on this overall.

I always feel like Stila shadows apply a tad on the frosty side. Frost finishes and me don’t get on so well.

I also hate that it’s impossible to blend two shades together in many cases as Stila shadows tend to look the same when blended together but you can always blame it on my makeup skillz.

Kitten has been redone to death as we all know but how can we rant at this price?

  • Anyone interested in the new Stila Travel Palette but not loving the $7.95 shipping! Add the It Girl Palette in and you’re looking at around $14 dollar for each palette, not a bad deal!
  • Anyone who wants a warm palette for Summer with plenty of quality and pigment but not a large price tag!
  • Stila lovers! Fans of the brand will love this!

  • Anyone who already owns the Pro Artist Palette (shades are very similar).
  • Anyone who isn’t keen on frosty finishes.

Honestly, you can’t beat the price and I think it’s a fab little purchase for Stila newbies or even veterans of the brand as the price tag can’t be beat!

A warm Summer look for $10 bucks? Yes, please. Total score.

Muse Approved for purchase!

Available from both Sephora and Stila.

Sephora has this for 10$ special buy, and cheaper shipping. Although, I just ordered the stila travel palette for 10$, has 4 shadows and 1 convertable color.. they’ll have one of these once a month for 5 months (If I remember correctly).

    • the Muse

hi carlie yes I posted about the travel palette prior to this hun.

  • Lenna

Fabulous…the post on the Stila Travel kit thingy made me want to order today…but since I haven’t ordered yet, I’ll have to grab this too AND wait until Friday. See what you did, making me spend my money? Hehe 🙂

I love this palette-even though I have 20 million pans of Kitten. I’ve been wearing Chloe in a crease almost daily. It blends nice with bright shades. My favorite combo is Chloe in the crease and MUFE school bus yellow Flash Color, it makes my eyes so blue.

oh I love this one 🙂 …will b getting this soon…BTW, the NYX shadow trio packaging looks like a dupe of this one 🙂

  • Crissy

Not bad 🙂 I got the palette in Costco for $20, and it included the double-ended brush #30, full size lash visor mascara, sample of one step makeup in medium and mini smudge pot in black! I picked it up right away because I was vacationing in Las Vegas and from where I’m from, there’s no Costco. hehe.

Hey This one looks so pretty and at $10? Gosh! Drat Stila for saying goodbye 😛

  • Vonvon

10 bucks for a Stila trio…anytime for me! Love Kitten eyeshadow so much, and the other 2 shades are so complementary to each other and to Kitten too!

  • Niki

OMG, so ironic! I just bought this same thing yesterday — at Urban Outfitters for the same price, LOL

I am definately going to get this. Saw Stila products on HSN the other night…the Pro Artist Palette was “created especially for HSN customers…” blah blah blah. I loved how Kitten looked on the model and was trying to hunt it down…imagine how suprised I was to find this same palette on the Sephora website! :o/

Anyway…Kitten will be mine! Am I the only person on the planet who has not tried Stila cosmetics and doesnt own at least 2 Kitten e/s?

How many ounces are the eyeshadows, or, how would you say they compare in size to the full sized pans?
