Reader Review: Twilight Beauty Review
Words cannot describe how excited I was to try Twilight Beauty! I was one of the suckers (no pun intended) who pre-ordered. I’m a big Twilight fan, and a lover of makeup, so this was a match made in heaven. After a long time waiting for my products to come, some pushbacks of shipping dates, and overall antsyness, I finally got some products from the coveted Twilight Beauty collection.
Luna Twilight Bella Palette:
This was the product I was most excited for. I chose the Bella palette because I was in desperate need of neutrals, and I adored Bella’s natural look.
It is extremely small, for starters. I’d say about the size of an I.D. For $28, I felt it should be bigger. The shadows and glosses inside (two of each) are about the size of a nickle. The shadows are nicely pigmented, however, applying them wet will ruin them. They certainly are not the best. I’ve found better at the drugstore. The glosses are nice. They smell wonderful and apply sheerly, but offer a slight tint to your lips. They moisturize effectively. The blush is my favorite part. It is a blush I find myself going to very often. It IS powdery, which is a downside, but it is a lovely nude/peachy color that complements my skin tone very well.
While the packaging is super cute, it is just too small to justify $28. The shadows and lipglosses are mediocre. The blush is the only thing worth having from the palette, and you still only get .13 oz (or 3.89 g) of it.
I’d give it a 3 out of 5.
Luna Twilight Mortal Glow Blush in Adrenaline
This is a nice highlighter. It’s a cream blush, and was $22. I got it in the pinky/champaigne color. It applies smoothly and you barely need any to get a nice, sparkly face. It is easy to over-do it, but with a light hand you can get a lovely illuminated look. I feel it is worth it for $22, since you get .49 oz (14 g)

Luna Twilight Femme Fetale Glosses
I got two of these, each for $20. For .17 oz (5 g), it is outrageously priced. I’d have never bought it had I known the size of the product. You appear to get more than you do thanks to the packaging. The packaging is cute, but the tree pattern scrapes off. That disappointed me. Also, one color I bought (Butterfly Kisses) had glitter in it. I knew it did, but I expected it to be evenly distributed. Instead, it is uneven and makes me look like I bought lipgloss from Limited Too. Very immature and tacky. ’53 Chevy (a redish color) looks nice, and moisturizes. I feel these are hit-or-miss with the colors, and it just isn’t worth your $20 to take a chance.

Volturi Twilight Labyrinth Shadows
These are little pots of loose shadows. I didn’t expect to like these, so I held off until Hot Topic had them on clearance. I snagged two (Myth and Lover) for $8! Ironically, these were the best product from the entire line. They apply wonderfully and show up very bright. They can be used as a liner, or an all-over color. You get a ton of product (2.3 g) for the price…even the original price of $9. The best I tried from the line.

Hit or Miss with all the products, so look up reviews before purchasing, or just can it.
