Which Would You Buy? Urban Decay, Too Faced, or Hard Candy

Hard Candy Urban Decay Too Faced

Battle of the brands!

Which would you buy?

Urban Decay for me. No doubt. Although I gotta admit Too Faced comes a close second. I slapped up Hard Candy as well since it really reminds me (or reminded me) of Urban Decay but a fresher, sweeter version of the brand and although they have some cute offerings right now the quality isn’t quite the same as it was.

Of course, I’ve been a long term fan of UD thus was a no brainer I choose them.

It’s hard to choose. I really love a LOT of Too Faced products, and I love some Urban Decay as well. I like some Hard Candy.
I love the UD Deluxe shadows (great finish).
I LOVE TFSI, my Too Faced palette, my too faced blush duo, etc.
    I love my UD lipstick.

I know nothing about Hard Candy (I think it’s not on sale here in Italy), I don’t know Urban Decay very well because here in Italy it’s on sale only from a couple of months, only at Sephora and only in some Sephora shops (I discovered the first one in my town, one of the largest city of Italy, a couple of weeks ago! so I’ll have to learn but I loved the eyeshadows XD) but I’m in total love with Too Faced <3

I had to go with Too Faced. I love me some UD as well, but I tend to be a teensy weensy bit more of a neutral gal than UD usually has offerings for, and Too Faced generally fits me just a wee bit better. Also, I vastly prefer TSFI to UDPP.

Am I the only one who remembers when HC used to be a really high end line? weren’t they (possibly originally) owned by the same company as UD? am I making that up?

They were sister companies. UD used to have a link to the HC site on theirs but it recently came off when HC went into Wal Mart. I used to use HC but I’ve noticed a lot of their quality went down after going into Wal Mart. I stick with TF & UD now.

I didn’t even know Hard Candy was still up and running? Haven’t seen them in my part of the world in ages.
I like Too Faced and have plenty of their products but it is Urban Decay that makes me drool.

I loooove Urban Decay! Even though most of my UD stuff I got for insanely cheap prices on HauteLook, it’s one of the few high end brands I’d ever pay full price for. I love every product I’ve tried. Although Too Faced sparkler gloss is my fave ;] Still can’t find the new Hard Candy collection anywhere!

Urban Decay for sure. My experiences with TF have been mixed. I love my Galaxy Glam shadow, but another palette I got was so-so (the Smurfette one…I really only use the pink shadow and I use it as a blush)…Hard Candy was okay, and I use the Honeymoon blush daily, but Urban Decay hasn’t really done me wrong ever. Yes, the glitter can get obnoxious at times, but a little tape does the trick. I’ve fallen in love with their liners (which allowed me to actually get a great line and not have to pull–wonderful color payoff) and some of their shadows are totally HG for me (Underground, Sin, Chopper, S&M, and Zero).

oh muse i’ve only used a few things from these and to say one thing

I HATE UD 224/7 GLIDE on pencils ( i have it in ransom which when swatched on the hand is a beautiful purple) it may look nice on my hand when swatched, but it doesn’t apply well on the waterline sure it applies great to the lashline BUT THATS NOT WHAT I WANT!!!! :(

but their surreal skin powder was really nice and i am sure their eyeshadows are better quality…..also i used the primer potion, not impressed at all.

i tried the toofaced smurfette stuff and the powder was really nice and so was the lipgloss (loved the smurfy lipgloss) the eyeliner was a miss

never tried hard candy but the prices are great

    so too faced won!!! :)

I love Urban Decay and Too Faced, however because of the horror of being a poor college student and being a pack rat who must have multiple colors of nearly everything, all I can afford to buy is Hard Candy. Xp

Urban Decay all the way. Been using it for 16 years now and had more hits than misses out of any cosmetics I have used. I’ve seen it’s evolution from just nail polish and lipstick to what they have today. I’ve gone from wearing Mildew Nail Polish and Frostbite lipstick in 1996 to wearing Baked eyeshadow, Roach liquid eyeliner, and NSA 24/7 Concealer in 2010. I miss their nail polish, Lip Gunk, and original Face Cases..but I embrace UD’s Alice Book of Shadows, Pocket Rocket glosses, and 24/7 eyeliners as part of my everyday routine.

Too Faced is okay…I LOVE Pink Leopard Bronzer and some of their shadows..but somethings are fail…like Lip Injection and most of their lip products. Nu Hard Candy is not as good as the original and the products I did try (Mascara and eyeshadow) were massive disappointments.

If you don’t mind me asking, why don’t you like the TF lip products?

I remember when UD had their own stores way back when. haha! UD sure has grown and I love it!

I hit UD because I got a makeover with a UD artist at ULTA a few weeks ago and hauled hard and got GREAT freebies too. I adore too faced but I’m already over the new lipglosses and awaiting the arrival of the new shadows so It’s a toss up for me. I’ve been a UD fan about twice as long as a toofaced fan too. The only thing I like from the”new” hard candy was the gold mascara for a supper glittery night or halloween.

It’s hard to decide between UD and Too Faced. The Too Faced products I have are great, but UD has a better selection and simply more color options.

wow, this is hard. iv’e always thought that all 3 companies were very, very simlar and liked alot of all of their products, but im gonna have to go with hard candy. there is nothing like the original hard candy nailpolishes with the jelly rings and cool colors! in the 90′s they were HUGE! anybody that was somebody wore hard candy nailpolish (including alicia silverstone, who loved the the light-blue color sky) these nailpolishes had a huge impact and there were a ton of copycats! but you can’t really compare hard candy now that it’s at wal-mart to urban decay and too faced, which are both still being sold at places like sephora because it’s not a fair comparison. you have to compare hard candy when it too was a department store brand and the quality was much better. with that being said, all 3 companies have some awesome, unique, cool, girly, sexy, quirky (and sometimes gimmicky) products, but my vote has to go to hard candy.
