You NEED This: DuWop Flight Stick Review

The new DuWop Flight Stick is probably one of the most unique and innovative beauty products I’ve come across in a really long time.

Traveling this Summer?

You’ll probably NEED this!

Jump!

A twist up hydrating stick for the weary traveling who wants an instant pick me up! Protects, hydrates, and wakes up skin with anti-oxidants and caffeine so you can look your very best after that long flight.

The general idea of the product kinda sounds too good to be true as it’s literally supposed to make you look fresh and awake after being on a plane for several hours. Lord knows I look like a hot mess after being on one! My skin suffers from the dry, stuffy air in cabin, my makeup oxidizes, and my eyes are normally puffy if I’ve been in a sleeping coma during the trip.

I took this with me on a recent trip and also tested it out after a really long, hot, humid day and must say the results are really quite NICE.

Flight Stick comes in a twist up stick which you can dab on anywhere you need a pick me up. Under your eyes, on your face, your neck…anywhere you need a pick me up basically. The formula is slightly cooling to the touch and has a creamy yet firm texture. It’s nude in color but contains no pigment so it’s suitable for just about any skin tone. I used the stick after a four hour flight and it basically gave my face a complete and utter boast. I simply spread it around on my face, under my eyes, etc…and blended out with my finger tips. It actually gives the appearance of a freshly washed face, strange but true. When I sleep on a flight my eyes tend to get puffy and my foundation oxidizes fairly quickly plus my skin begins to dry out. This hydrates beautifully, creates a more even skin tone, while reviving dull skin so you look quite awake, quite refreshed, and very lively for lack of a better word.

On my second test I used the Flight Stick after a long day at work. I just hopped home for a change of clothes before heading back out and realized I had to redo all my makeup. Instead of doing it all over, I simply swiped the stick on my face and under my eyes and followed up with a little cheek stain! I looked WIDE awake and flawless again.

It actually does work. The end result, as mentioned above, looks like a freshly washed face.

Nothing bad about it in my opinion although it may not prove as useful if you aren’t traveling alot however tucking it into your desk drawer at work is a fabulous idea for quickie, refreshing touch ups throughout the day!

  • Anyone who travels alot and wants to look their very best after stepping off a plane!
  • Anyone who needs a quick fix to look fresh and awake!

  • Anyone not keen on swiping makeup on and possibly blending out with fingertips!

Although DuWop advertises this as a travel essential, I think it’s a welcome addition to anyone’s makeup bag whether they are traveling or not. It makes my face literally glow and doesn’t make touch ups such a chore anymore. Just swipe and perhaps add a little blush on top and GO! Easy! I like how it quickly takes me from tired and dull to fresh and awake.

Really a cute little product that gets the job done.

I saw this on The Shopping Channel here in Canada and was quite intrigued. I think I’ll pick it up and try it out now! Thanks Muse!

    • the Muse

my pleasure tracy tell me how it works out for ya! I’m in lust with it!

  • Christine

Yay! Thank you for this review! I will get this on my next Sephora order 🙂 Do you think it works with all skin tones? I think my skin tone is probably close to yours, but just curious

  • Sandy

The results from this remind me of what Clarins Flash Balm is supposed to do — what do you think?

  • mercedes(muses biggest fan)

hi muse!! long time no talk!!! urggh my summer is taking a dive south…but you’re post’s and sense of humor turn my frown upside down! do you think you could do a swatch? or a FOTD? thanks!

    • the Muse

aw sorry to hear mercedes! how are you feeling? long time 😀 I’m so glad I can put a smile on your face! I did swatch but it doesn’t show up on my arm so I didn’t post the pic. Will try for a possible FOTD, was going to do one but just got busy 😀

  • Kristina

I did not think that I would want this. But if it’s going to make me look fresh and awake after spending all day with 4 children, put it in my bag!

  • teresa

that looks and sounds great! does it diminish dark circles or smears your concealer or other makeup though?

    • the Muse

no teresa it doesn’t diminish dark circles as it’s just a hydrating stick not a concealer hun not pigmented as I mentioned in the review 🙂 it doesn’t smear other makeup but you won’t be using it on a freshly made up face only one that is in need of a pick me up. Hope this helps!

  • Kayvid

So you apply this on top of your existing makeup? Or remove your makeup first?

  • Cheryls

    Hi Muse!
Wow, this product sounds like a must-have. But what is it anyway? From what you describe it sound like a foundation/mosituriser that you use over existing makeup.. but not quite. Hm. I’m confused.. but very interested in owning one. Hee.

    • the Muse

a hydrating stick cheryls. simply wakes skin up and used over existing makeup but not a face full of makeup it’s used after a long flight or when your makeup is begining to melt away and your skin is dull, etc…hope this helps!

  • Alex

Hi Muse! Would you be able to swatch this? I’ve read that it could also be used as a tinted moisturizer for light coverage and I don’t wear foundation so I’m really intrigued! What do you think?

    • the Muse

hi alex I tried swatching and taking a pic when I did the review but sadly it came out completely transparent. Mmmm maybe yes if you don’t need ALOT of coverage. I find using it with a bit of cheek stain on top really makes my complexion lively again

  • Kiera

Mmm… sounds interesting, I’ve been looking for something that makes me look half alive after a 12 hour hospital shift, I guess depending on the size and price I would definetly give it a shot

  • Laina

Hey Muse, do you think this would work on oily skin that looks dull after a long day? ^_^

    • the Muse

hey laina I’m combo at the moment. Oily forehead and jawline and dry between brows and a bit on cheeks. No problems so far using on my oily area as the stick isn’t THAT hydrating…I think it should be ok for oily skin and def perfect when skin looks dull!

  • Ruthless

Hmmm I went out and got the DuWop brown eyes shadow duo thingamajigger after I read about it here, and while I was out I saw this, tested it and thought EXACTLY THE SAME THING.

Didn’t buy it, but will be def on the list for next haul. I turn into a gross, bloaty corpulent greasy monster when I travel. Yuckers!

    • the Muse

awesome ruthless! 😀 so glad you liked it during your initial test 😀 whatcha think of the brown eye shadow?!
