Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Collection

I know, I know, I know….

You hate celeb fragrances!

Totally can relate. I’m not super keen on them myself but on occasion I honestly don’t mind, hello Harajuku Lovers! Now I gotta say Mariah Carey kinda irks me for some reason or another, so NOT a fan, but when I seen the new Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Perfumes I noticed my ear cocked up and my nose began to twitch. I needed to know more about these and my nose definitely needed a little sniffle. I mean lollipop? That’s so very ME! I love sweet, candy scents!

Recently I decided to rekindle my romance with Miss Dior Cherie (I have a love/hate relationship with it) and took myself off to Macy’s to get a new bottle. As I was browsing I heard a squeal and turned to see my friend Jai madly misting himself madly with a bright bottle. Yup, you guessed it, Lollipop Bling fragrances were being misted around crazily. Needless to say I only casually sniffed the bottles and didn’t get as crazy as Jai did since I didn’t want to dish out $35 each (yo, pokemon crazy collector disease) after shelling out $100 for my bottle of Cherie. I wish I had paid more attention because my initial reaction to the scent wasn’t particularly “OMG I need these” and I can’t really go by Jai’s reaction because he’s Mariah’s fan girl.

Damn.

Now after browsing online I kinda wanna take a closer look and smell but I do admit one thing annoys me….

Jump!

I hate that they called the scents Lollipop Bling but couldn’t take a second to vamp the packaging to match the appealing name. The bottles are brightly hued and very pretty however they are each topped with a Butterfly. I know in some ways butterflies are a Mariah kinda thing but dude the collection is entitled Lollipop Bling? I love the promo images with Mariah sporting brightly colored ring pops on her fingers so how cool would it be for the toppers to be lollipops or something?

I over think packaging sorries!

Without further commentary from me here’s the deets for the Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Parfum Collection.

An irresistible candy-inspired collection of three mouthwatering fragrances inspired by Mariah’s unforgettable marriage proposal – her engagement ring was hidden inside a Ring Pop candy wrapper! Each fragrance is bright, sparkling and multifaceted with its own signature spin.

  • Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Ribbon

Ribbon is a mouthwatering floral fruity fragrance inspired by the flavor of the Blue Raspberry Ring Pop combined with a beautiful floral bouquet.

  • Top: Raspberries, Honeydew, Cucumber Pulp
  • Mid: Hydrangea, Blue Lotus, Jasmine Dew
  • Base: Liquid Musks, White Woods, Sugar Crystals

  • Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Mine Again

Mine Again is a floriental fruity combination of Chocolate Raspberry with a touch of Magnolia that creates an addictive fragrance.

  • Top: Red Currants, Blood Orange, Heliotrope
  • Mid: Raspberry Chocolate, Cotton Candy, Magnolia
  • Base: Creamy Musk, Tonka Beans, Vanilla

  • Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Honey

Honey is an irresistible floral citrus fragrance combined with a touch of Honey and Pineapple, creating a bright and sunny fragrance.

  • Top: Passion Fruit, Pineapple Juice, Lemon Drops
  • Mid: Amazon Lily, Fresh Ginger, White Freesia
  • Base: Frosted Musks, Linden Flowers, Honey

Each fragrance is $35 and available from both Macy’s and www.elizabetharden.com

I will say that my initial impressions of the scent was that they smelled somewhat like drugstore fragrances and really at $35 you’d expect as much considering this isn’t in the realms of higher counter end however I’m hopeful that’s just the way my conscious is kindly telling me I don’t need another new perfume and really they smell INCREDIBLE. I think they might deserve a second look so off to Macy’s I go again shortly….

Anyone smell them yet?

What did you think?

Worth a haul?

Would you be interested in smelling them?

Oh no not another celeb fragrance feeling?

I smelled them from one of those perfume ads in a magazine recently. Ribbon was okay but the others didn’t really do it for me. I honestly wasn’t super impressed, not to mention that if anyone were to ask what I was wearing I would be embarassed to say it was a perfume by Mariah Carey (does that sound horribly stuck up?) I’m just not a big fan of hers either.

lol not stock up at all courtney LOL I’d feel the same. I was trying to figure out if it was my mind telling me you don’t need fragrance or if they really didn’t smell that fab 😀

I’m not drawn to celeb fragrances based on the celeb involved with the fragrance. That said, Bling Mine Again sounds DELICIOUS and I’ll remember to spritz it next time I go to Macys.

I smelled these the other day and thought they were like drugstore perfumes too. And they were on a stand next to Vera Wang perfumes! LOL.
