Avon Sunset Glow Bronzer Review, Swatches, and Photos

Some folks take makeup WAY to seriously. Now this isn’t necessarily a bad thing but me I can’t even take life seriously never mind makeup. Which is why cute and fun makeup really appeals to me. I find the joy in makeup that some folk would possibly write off and not take too seriously.

Although a tad unconventional for the best bronzer application, I have to say, the joy and fun of the new Avon Sunset Glow Bronzer just makes me want to smile and sit on a beach somewhere.

These are SO sweet.

Jump!

Avon Sunset Glow Bronzer is a scenic (literally) bronzer palette for giving face and cheeks a warm, sun kissed glow!

If you’re going the budget route this Summer with your bronzer, or you desire a subtle bronzer, or just like damn cute makeup, the new Avon Sunset Glow Bronzer Palettes should appeal.

Packaging wise they get my vote of approval. How cute are these? Each palette is made up of three separate shades that are separated by black dividers that make up the scene from a tropical island during the end of day. Think of yourself lounging on the beach, with a tropical drink in your hand (yes, the kind with the umbrella, wouldn’t be fun without it right?), and the warm, hot sun sinking into the ocean after a long day of lazying around, doing absolutely nothing…ahhhh…..well you get the point. The palettes remind me of just that.

These guys are available in two shade selections for a budget friendly price of $6.99 or paired up with a face brush for $9.99. If you’re wanting a warmer look you can settle in with Sunset Bronze which made up of a subtle muddy bronzer and two lighter golden beige shades. Or you can go a bit brighter with Sunset Glow which is made up of golden shades of bronze and a dusky coral pink.

Now some may think that application would be a pain because of the black dividers that makes up the design of the palette but no worries. You can dab your brush gently into each shade or swipe without any hiccups and pick up plenty of color to dusk onto face and cheeks. The dividers are actually quite nice since they keep the shades separate which allows you to use them on your eyes as a shadow or you can use each shade separately to contour and contrast.

Both shades apply very subtly and can be built up for a deeper shade of brown. The finish is a sunny glow that can be flattering on darker and lighter skin tones.

Very dark skin tones or olive skin tones may not see great results with this as it does apply a tad sheer. It can be built up in intensity but I think it works best for medium or fairer tones.

  • Anyone who wants a subtle hint of the sun.
  • Anyone scared of bronzers (this is a fabulous beginner bronzer)!
  • Anyone who loves cuter makeup items!

  • Darker skin tones.

I was very pleased with these and quite delighted. I’m a sucker for cute packaging and the likes so that appealed first and foremost but after trying them I also loved the formula and the finish of the product. It gives just enough color without appearing overly brown or muddy looking plus it’s a rather flattering finish up on top of stains!

Very affordable, very cute. Loves it!

Sorry, but sadly my camera did not pick up swatches very well on these but I hope the photos of each compact will suffice in aiding you in your purchase.

The palettes are available now at shop.avon.com
