Daily Dose of Beauty: Sephora in Brazil

Dunno how many of you are in Brazil but today’s Daily Dose of Beauty could potentially make you happy if you are!

LVMH will be launching in Brazil shortly.

LVMH is planning to purchase 70% of Sacks which is one of Brazil’s biggest online seller of perfume, makeup, and beauty products. In doing so this will allow the Sephora chain to develop within Brazil.

Could be a while but exciting news none the less.

Are you in Brazil?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

of course i am! i am a sacks costumer myself and always look for sephora in here. this is pretty awesome.

LVMH is saying it will only take a while because they are trying to put down taxes, here in brazil everything imported is very expensive, so, beside the SEPHORA, they are doing good things to the nation! (lol)

yay tais! 😀 awesome to hear I have Brazilian readership! so glad to Sephora’s move will be rejoiced!

Like Tais said, the main problem here is the huge taxes. A MAC lipstick, for instance, is about U$39,00, so it’s hard to keep buying stuff. Some products get 150% over their value. Hopefully, this issue will be solved and we can actually buy the products that you review here 😀

how much is UK VAT? Man, That’s just horrible. We in Canada, depending on where you are also have a stack amount of taxes to pay for anything

mmm nucleii went up to 20 came back down to 17.5. I avoid purchasing when in the Uk for that reason

    Hi, Muse!

The only reason we should be happy in case sephora opens stores where we can see the products and test them. For now we buy in the dark, choosing colors and textures and quality based mostly on reviews and swatches on blogs.

Like everybody already told you, if they keep the prices that high (in Brazil) we will probably continue to buy from other places.

It’s not only taxes; it’s sometimes abusive. Did you know a nyx lipstick can cost the equivalent to 23 US dollars at NYX stores in Sao Paulo? hmf!!!!!!

So I’m not excited about Sephora coming to Brazil. No big deal.

    😉
