Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss Review Update and Swatches
I gotta say I’m not particularly keen on Estee Lauder lip products simply because of the packaging and the taste. Yes, yes we are all terrible package junkies and shallow enough to admit that Estee Lauder packaging is simply NOT cute enough for most of us. I try to tame my shallow good nature when shopping EL simply because they actually have some incredibly cool products.
Now another thing….
I love many of the lip products that the brand does but the taste is a tad off putting at times. It’s a cherryish, perfum-y fruity something or another. Now the fruity is great but it’s the mix of perfume that makes me cringe.
Putting these flaws aside I must say I really fell in love with the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss. Incredibly lovely stuff. Although I already reviewed these I wanted to take a minute just to do a brief recap and some more swatches from my recent Nordstrom pre-order as I got four more shades of these bad boys and they are too gorgeous not to share.
You might fall in love with the shades I picked!

If you missed it please see my Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss Review and Swatches prior to reading my recap here as that has way more details.
After trying two shades I quickly headed to Nordie’s to see the HUGE display. Seriously? The display is killer because you can’t walk out without wanting at least 10 shades or more. Thank god I kept a level head and only hauled four considering at the time I was also doing my Nordstrom Beauty Exclusive order and I’d have walked out mega broke if I got more.
The shades I got were:
- Praline Paradise
- Passion Fruit
- Garnet Desire
- Blazing Coral
One thing I love about the gloss is how it wraps around my lips and seals on tight. It wears incredibly long and very comfortably without feeling sticky or migrating around my mouth. I also love how the colors can build up so easily.
Blazing Coral is probably the least pigmented of the bunch and contains a fair bit of sparkle leaving lips with a slip of sheer coral. The other shades I selected were all nicely pigmented however first layer won’t see much color so building up for better intensity is worth the extra time and effort as lips will look fuller with nice color pay off.
Passion Fruit falls into the realms of a dusky guava shade with shimmer. Garnet Desire is a maroon garnet with golden shimmer and Praline Paradise is a shimmering shade of brown beige.
I absolutely love this gloss and think it’s worth a look at when you’re at your local counter. So many gorgeous shades to choose from and a really lovely formula has made it irresistible to me. I’ll be going back for more colors in a future haul for sure.
Loves ’em!
