Lola Sweetheart Face and Body Powder Review and Swatches

My cold little heart simply melts whenever I see some new highlighter powder. Dontcha just love highlighter powders? I have way too many that I don’t use but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to purchase more and more and more…..something about purchasing a beautiful shimmering powder that will make me look like I’m about to take a ride on that disco stick that Gaga goes on about, just appeals…

Lola Sweetheart Face and Body Powder is a big old hot mess of glittery, shimmery, frosty fall out but I love it so. Sometimes I sleep with it at night and tell it how pretty is is!

Jump!

A huge old compact disc size highlighter powder scented with sweet butter cream, like a vanilla cupcake, that can be used to dust on cheeks or body!

This is so gorgeous and possibly one of the prettiest highlighters I have in my stash…well, that’s probably a lie, I say that about all my powders, just don’t tell them that k?

The compact is quite big and houses quite a fair bit of product. It comes in the typical sexy red Lola packaging with scripted emblem on the top and a full size mirror inside. The powder itself has a swirling sweetheart design and the scent of sweet vanilla. It smells simply gorgeous and the scent actually lasts fairly long when you use it!

The powder itself is decently pigmented so you can use as a blush if you dare. The finish is shimmery and fairly frosty so a little goes a very long, long way. Although it has a silvery over spray, it seems the shimmer sticks around for a fair while even after the over spray has worn off. The formula is very silky and decadent with plenty of shimmery, pigmented goodness for your body, your face, or cheeks!

The shade is a baby fine pink which comes across slightly dusky. It’s actually a very wearable shade if it wasn’t for the amount of frosty and shimmer overload.

Although beautiful, I can’t rightfully pull this off on my face without looking scary as hell. The frosty finish makes my face sparkle like a diamond and even a dab is too much. Blame my skills but highlighting with this is for the loco types only as the shimmer overload could hurt someone.

The final finish feels a tad more frosty than shimmery in some cases which is terribly unflattering on my face as I can’t pull off frosts so well.

The powder kicks up a TON of dusk even when gently patted with a blush or fan brush.

  • Anyone who loves owning pretty powders!
  • Anyone who likes shimmer and sparkle!
  • Anyone who loves the novelty of a scented makeup product (mmm smells like vanilla cupcake!).
  • Anyone who wants a gleam of pink sparkle on their chest legs, or body!

  • Anyone who can’t justify all that sparkle and shimmer.
  • Anyone sensitive to fragrance!
  • Anyone who likes more conventional makeup products (this is pure girlish fun!).

Although the product is absurdly unconventional and in some cases a tad unusable, I still think it’s rather sweet and I’ve happily added it to my stash of crazy sparkly highlighter powders. The purchase is a pure girly whim on my part and I love it to death regardless of how badly it applies or how much sparkle and shimmer it houses.

Really a gorgeous highlighting powder that should appeal to girly girl types!

Delicious!

I got it on sale at Beauty Ticket and I’d buy another one in the future at full price if I ever ran out, not that I will this thing is huge, but regardless it’s a really pretty powder and sometimes beauty indulgences like this, just make me smile.
