L’Oreal HIP High Drama Volumizing Mascara should be making a guest starring appearance at your drugstore. Anyone try?
I was muddling around with it today and kinda liked it.
L’Oreal HIP High Drama Volumizing Mascara promises 10x’s the volume. Dem be fighting words eh?
Naaa not 10x’s but not a bad fringe of lashes here.
This is a standard straight line brush applicator. No curves, no plastic, no bells and whistles. Pretty much a standard brush that’s a tad thinner compared to others of it kind. It does a fine job of lifting lashes up and outwards from the root and creating a nice fringe of natural looking lashes. Formula isn’t terribly pigmented so if you want darker lashes this probably won’t do a fab job of it but it’s decent enough to compliment already dark lashes.
Well if you’re in it for drama there’s none to be had here. The finish results are longer lashes that are more natural and lighter. Formula doesn’t wear lashes down and creates a more natural lash look for me so nothing bold or dramatic sadly. This doesn’t build up well and ends up becoming clumpy and uni-lash-like after a few coats.
- Anyone who likes longer, natural looking lashes.
- Anyone who likes a lighter formula that won’t weigh lashes down!
- Anyone who wants dramatic results.
- Anyone with paler lashes (can’t picture this doing a good job of dying lashes well).
- Anyone who wants to build up layers of mascara!
This was nice enough but the price is around $8.99 which means you can add a few more dollars in and get a quality item that will work considerably better. On sale it might be worth a pick up particularly for anyone with shorter lashes that doesn’t want a heavier formula weighting lashes down. It keeps curl decently and feels virtually weightless overall which is a plus for Summer wearing. Not the best mascara in the world but not the worst either.
