Stila The Color of Innovation: Stila Fall Collection 2010

Mmmm after my rant on color changing lipgloss yesterday, I find it rather fitting and ironic that the Stila Fall Collection 2010 includes a “perfect shade of pink” blush. Hmmm….I’m feeling suddenly very deja vu-ish (is that a word? No? Well count it as one now!).

Jump!

Stila One Step Correct ($36)

Nada to say that I haven’t already said ’bout this one!

Stila GlamourEyes Mascara ($22)

Oh hai, we covered this one too haven’t we?

Stila Travel Girl Palettes Pretty in Paris ($10)

And this one…..

Stila Custom Color Blush ($20)

Ahh here’s one we haven’t discovered together!

Why settle for “almost the right shade” of blush? This perceptive one-shade-fits-all powder blush reacts with your skin’s pH to create a one-of-a-kind, customized shade perfect for you! The ultra-blendable, velvety soft formula magically smoothes the appearance of fine lines, pores and pigmentation, leaving skin with a luminous, flawless flush*. The weightless powder can be layered to achieve just the right amount of color and coverage.

So Stila says…..

  • No more guessing or wearing the wrong color blush
  • Reacts to the wearer’s pH levels to create the perfect shade every time
  • Harmonizes with your own skin tone to enhance your natural beauty, not overwhelm it

Oh boy I sure have heard ALL of this before BUT I’m going to indulge. I want it. It looks like a pretty shade of pink and even if I’m not taking advantage of all that color changing, PH Level techy stuff, I’m still all about nice shades of baby pink for my chubby cheeks!

Stila Backstage Eye Shadow Palette ($28)

Shades Included:

  • Chiffon (shimmery peach)
  • Flamingo (shimmery fuchsia)
  • Pacific (metallic navy blue)
  • Luster (metallic warm alloy)
  • Poetic (shimmery mauve)
  • Coal (cool metallic emerald)

I wanna say yes to this palette but it reminds me of the Pro Artist shades and the Precious Pearl Palette. Stila seems to revamp alot of the sandy shades and pairs them up with aqua, blue, and green. This isn’t a bad thing but when you collect the palettes like I do it becomes alot of the same shades over and over again.

Stila Long Wear Liquid Lip Color ($22)

Available Shades:

  • Fiery (the perfect red)
  • Caprice (hot pink)
  • Patina (warm nude)
  • Petal (pale pink)
  • Coral (shimmery coral)
  • Muse (natural mauve) Hey, look the named a shade after little old me!

Bold lips are in this season and Stila has the perfect product for you. Introducing Long Wear Liquid Lip Color. This long-lasting lip color formula glides on lips and stays put, delivering hours of intense moisture and rich, stunning, bold color with a matte, creamy finish. The weightless liquid moves with your lips to prevent color from transferring, feathering or bleeding and create captivatingly kissable lips.

Stila Long Wear Lip Color ($18)

Available Shades:

  • Aspiring (neutral beige)
  • Passionate (red)
  • Charming (light rose)
  • Obsessed (hot pink)

Stila’s new, extremely long-wearing lip liner glides onto lips effortlessly with no tugging or feathering to deliver intense, true color. With an unprecedented 70% pigment, you get outstanding color depth with rich payoff in a single application.

So what do you think of Stila Fall 2010?

Anything appealing?

I really want the blush to be honest and of course the new Stila Travel Girl Palette. Everything else I’m debating on at the moment….we’ll see.

It’s available now from www.stilacosmetics.com

I know Almay came out with a similar cream blush that is supposed to change colors but I never tried it. This one seems intriguing for sure!

    • the Muse

hey SH yup Almay has the blush and the foundation that change to the “right” shade 😀

  • Stavroula Plag

The makeup on the girl looks very pretty!! 🙂 We’ll see about the perfect shade of pink blush if it’s true or not! 🙂

  • Melissa

hey – ya. The local ulta has the whole line up. The primer pilled up on my hand and had a slightly whitish look so I passed. The blush was pink pink and oh did I mention pink? The other stuff wasn’t exciting. When I have a coupon I might try the lip liners. I will order the Paris palette when there is a Friday bonus I like from the stila site.

    • the Muse

ugh melissa that’s terrible I ordered it hope that it doesn’t look white on me 😛 ha that pink eh!?!??! ditto on the bonus! I have my cart stocked waiting for a great deal!

  • Mollie

Wait wait wait where did you cover the Paris palette? It looks very flattering! (I can haz info pleez Muse?)

Ugh, I’m really tired of the magic shade products! Why can’t they just put time into making different, new, pretty shades? The only “personalized” thingy I like it O-Gloss, and I like it for the texture more than the color.

    • the Muse

mollie same, not really sold on the whole “personal” color selection stuff 😛 meh!
