Victoria’s Secret Runway Your Way Palette: Victoria’s Secret Fall Collection 2010

Ha! Relief!

Why? Because I won’t be splurging on any LE Fall Collections from Victoria’s Secret this year. Phew! Money saved. I normally adore the Victoria’s Secret Limited Edition Seasonal Releases but this year I’m not really feeling the love for the new palette releases and unless they release something more I’m pretty safe!

Take a peek at the new Victoria’s Secret Runway Your Way Palettes and tell me what you think!

These sets are created for Light, Medium, and Dark Skin tones and include the essentials to compliment your tone with a seasonal selection of color products including full instructions for application.

Each set includes three eye shadows, one lip gloss, one blush, one eyeliner, and a mascara for $28 each.

I’m not placing any bets but the makeup doesn’t look too fabulous in my opinion therefore I think the price is a tad steep plus the packaging isn’t particularly great either in my opinion, to industry looking, please bring the cute but hey will reserve more of my judgment until I actually see ’em, who knows, could be something we can’t live without.

Available now at www.victoriassecret.com

Feel free to tell me whatcha think!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

mmmm…I would love to get all 3, but that 100-ish dollars might go towards something better. These are probably made in china anyway, if they weren’t I mine pine for them.

I like the middle purple shades in the light and dark cases, but not enough to buy either.

  • Scientific Housewife

I like that they have a kit for each skin tone and I think the colors are pretty but standard. I wish more companies did this!

    • the Muse

I kinda do to SH. not so much per skin tone but just kits with good solid colors for eyes, face and cheeks plus instructions!

  • dina

like but not love, kinda the same old thing? under $20 and maybe we’ll talk 😛

  • Paloma

Have you finished the giveaways yet? I swear if I don’t win something soon, I’ll cry 😛

    • the Muse

I’m entering the twitter stuff into my database paloma almost done working as fast as can 😀

I have to be honest–I have never liked sets that tell you they’re for skin tone/eye color/hair color. They’re boring! Makeup is supposed to be fun. They’re a really great idea for people who don’t like…”weird” makeup or makeup outside of the norm…or people who don’t know much about makeup colors and just want to highlight their eyes or have a decent go-to blush. But honestly, they’re not for me. I always buy the ones for the “wrong” eye color(I’m lucky to be a brown eyed girl and I’ve never met an e/s color I didn’t like…except some browns!). Like you, Dear Muse, I’ll be skipping on buy these…directly to the MAC counter…or UD… or Fyrinnae…oh, I love those boys.

    • the Muse

storm must say agreed, brown eyed here too, and never met a shade I couldn’t use 😀

  • chibicheeks

It kinda bugs me that they put the mascara and eyeliner in the palette, but not the lipgloss! Maybe it was an afterthought?

    • the Muse

hello shiz chibi! I just noticed that! that bugs me too now! wth!?

  • Mollie

I think I may check ’em out. I’m a sucker for palettes, and the ones for Light and Medium skin look very pretty. I’m really fair, but I think I could probably swing both- loving the look of the glosses.

    • the Muse

hell yes mollie why not I bet all three are perfectly wearable 😀

    • marie

the medium one is great. at the store there is a sample one id say you try them on your skin. at first i though i was light but i turned out to be medium. i love the eyeliner, lip gloss, and blush and the eyeshadow and mascara aren’t bad i i didn’t absolutely fall in love with it, i really do like it though.

  • savannah

I think they might turn out pretty cool. I have tried their cosmetics and really liked most of them. So glad to have you back, Muse! I can finally read about cosmetics again! Your blog is the BEST!

    • the Muse

aw thanks savannah it’s great to be back and you’re lovely xoxo! I really like the LE stuff myself 😀

  • stephanie miller

Does anyone know what happened to the finale of Project Runway? I heard there was some dispute

  • jones

Its kinda pitiful they consider chanel iman dark skinned- and adriana lima isn’t much darker than candice swanepoel. That reminds when i was looking at a makeup article a long time ago in star magazine and they had makeup looks for light, medium, and dark skinned ladies, and for the dark skinned lady they used a picture of halle berry lol i was like REALLY ???

  • marie

i have it! too be honest i don’t “love” the eyeshadow but i truly love the blush&lip gloss! i tried the medium one. i also really like the eyeliner, and for the mascara ehhh. you know there’s better mascaras
