EDUN for Sephora Palette Harmony Review and Swatches

EDUN for Sephora Palettes are reduced to $15 at Sephora currently. The original price was $36 so it might be a nice one to pick up for Back to School or if you’re just wanting a new little palette to play with!

I snagged the Harmony one which is the warmer of the two shade selections available.

I’m not a fan of Sephora makeup but the colors were so pretty I couldn’t resist!

Jump ahead to hear the review!

A palette brought to you from EDUN that features several shades of shadow and a blush presented in a wooden box and organic cotton case with $3 from every sale going to the Wildlife Conservation Society, to fund activities of the Conservation Cotton Initiative in Uganda, which supports the organic cotton trade while helping local communities and protecting biodiversity.

Packaging gets props as it comes housed in a white box with the EDUN emblem on top plus the actually palette comes housed in a draw string bag which can double up as an MP3 holder or makeup bag. They definitely paid a little extra attention to the packaging on this and it shows.

The actually palette is a wood design with a side flip design. We’ve seen such a style before from Smashbox. It’s a slim compact and looks fancy enough but it’s not entirely travel friendly.

Inside you’ll find six Sephora Eyeshadows and one Sephora Blush. Yes, it’s Sephora makeup without a doubt. Sephora does in house brands as you know such as the Kat Von D Collection however the formula does border differently in terms of texture and formula on those lines however EDUN did not get the same treatment. The shadows are definitely Sephora brand as is the blush. Not necessarily a bad thing but quality isn’t always that great if you’ve been privy to Sephora cosmetics before you understand what I mean.

The shades included in Harmony are simply stunning. Very warm and Summer-y but also plenty beautiful for Fall. You get a shimmering gold, a peachy pink, a fiery copper, and three shades of contrasting brown plus an Orgasm-like blush which comes across peachy pink. The blush is very pretty and applies beautifully.

Shadow texture varies and some have chunky bits of glitter which isn’t particularly nice. Shimmer is always great as far as I am concerned but this seems like craft glitter. The shades are all very pigmented however they don’t all blend fabulously and in some cases look a tad unnatural on because of it. With proper care and attention you can achieve a gorgeous look but some patience is needed.

  • Beauty junkies on a budget ($15 bucks gets you six shadows, one blush, and awesome packaging but some quality must be forsaken).
  • Anyone who likes warm shades (even though quality is slightly lacking I can’t deny the colors are rockin’).

  • Anyone who doesn’t have patience for makeup that just isn’t quite right (chunky glitter, blending problems, and a cheaper feeling formula way not be for you).

The quality wasn’t quite up to my makeup standards but I really love the palette regardless. If I paid full price I’d probably be ranting a bit more but at $15, I’m going to throw it out there and say it’s an overall nice palette. I think one of my main reasons for loving it is the colors are very pretty and very me. The shades are warm and gorgeous and not only ideal for the Summer weather but well into Fall.

This is a decent purchase and probably worth picking up at the sale price.

Anyone play with?

What did you think?

Available now from www.sephora.com

Note: The sale price is online only however the stores will probably catch up in a few weeks!

Definitely loving the wooden palette& that it’s helps out a good cause.

That blush is super pretties & your eyes look gorgeous with that shadow!

I’m a cheapy girl cus I have to be and honestly I don’t mind blending, blending, blending; sometimes just for fun, to achieve different looks.

I love the packaging but recently bought a very similar palette so I’ll pass. But I love how original it is! 🙂

    • the Muse

rosalie that’s why I feel in love with it, def the colors and fun packaging!

  • Stephanie

Poor quality aside, that eyeshadow totally brings out your eyes. Pretty!

  • kali

I saw this at Sephora last week! I wanted to get it but I realized that I NEVER use any of my Sephora Brand palettes or eyeshadows so I had to walk away. =( The colors are very nice but I agree that quality isn’t the best. It’s good but when you have other better eyeshadows like Urban Decay, LORAC, NARS, etc. laying around, you tend to use those instead!

kali you might have done a good thing, colors are fab, quality so so 😛

i saw these advertised somewhere (can’t recall where) and they looked fun! after seeing your swatches though, they are a definite pass for me, thanks Muse! 🙂

I don’t know why sephora brand cosmetics are so bad. (the glosses are unwearable). as you pointed out kat von d’s products are produced under their auspices and her stuff is amazing in terms of product quality. so obviously they are capable of better. is it just to keep price down? who knows since they’re not dirt cheap either

    • the Muse

lol knownever ironically no they are not cheap price wise but are in quality…oy vey!

  • amy

Muse! You look gorgeous =)))) these colors really suit you! I got the EDUN palette in the other set of crazy colors haha… I do agree that the quality is a little “meh” but I also snatched it in the sale and I haven’t seen a crazier combo of colors for awhile =)

    • the Muse

aw you’re way too kind amy thanks! I didn’t get the cool, I wanted to actually see it in person as I ordered this online 😀 I guess we can do worst for 15 bucks right? 😀

  • Laura R

is that some liquid liner i see on there too? lookin’ sharp!

i thought about picking this up with a recent order but i already have so many warm shadow (esp browns and golds) that i couldn’t bring myself to do it. the shades are realllly me though i see what you mean about the glitter.

    • the Muse

LOL yup Laura good eye but sadly all messy application! 😀

It’s nice but I’m not sure it’s a must have. quality is a bit meh!

  • Kara

are you really buying all of your collection for full price? do you end up using even 1/34th of what you buy? have you thrown out products that have expired yet only used twice?

    • the Muse

Hi Kara as stated in the review this was on sale for $15 so no I didn’t pay full price for it. Stores don’t give discounts on makeup with the exception as MAC which offers discounts to Make Up Artists but sadly I am not an artist so I paid full price for mac when I purchase it and full price for anything else I purchase at the drugstore, sephora, or on counters. I’ve never run across a drugstore or counter giving out discounts unless something was on sale but that rarely happens on counter now does it? Yes I end up using what I buy and if I don’t I swap or give it away. I clear my stash out every few months and toss items that may have gone bad or give items away I am not using or swap them, etc….if I didn’t buy new stuff I couldn’t really bring reviews to readers which would make my site rather pointless as it’s a makeup review site right 🙂

      Hope this helps.

Are you willing to sell that palette because I’m really interested? I can’t find that palette anywhere…
