Julia Roberts Eat, Pray, Love Premier Look from Lancome

Damn, can’t believe all the buzz surrounding Eat, Pray, Love. Is it me or has the whole Internet and beauty world gone cra-cra for this flick? I wasn’t even interested in seeing it until all this marketing behind it convinced me I must see or possibly die if I don’t.

As you know Julia Roberts’ is the Lancome Ambassadress so of course she was outfitted in Lancome makeup for the Eat, Pray, Love Premier.

Julias red carpet look was created by celebrity makeup artist Genevieve Herr who channeled a chic and modern look that played up Julias light brown eyes and her sleek black ensemble. For a natural complexion, Genevieve used our Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation, which is a new foundation launching next month, Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Secret Brightening Powder followed by a cream blush in plum on the apples of the cheeks. She wanted to give Julia soft, smoky eyes with a mix of blacks and plums. To achieve this, she applied Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony to line the eyes and then blended shadows from our new fall French Coquettes collection called the French Touch Color Design Quad. Her lashes were topped with Définicils Precious Cells Mascara in Black for a full, natural lash. She finished the look with a neutral lip using Le Lipstique Lip Liner in Sheer Natural, Color Design Lipstick in Love It! and a touch of Juicy Tubes in Spring Fling.

It’s pretty understated for a premiere look isn’t it? Looks very business-like.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
