Kat Von D Adora Perfume Rollerball Review

Dude, did you hear…

Kat Von D tweeted she’s dating Jesse James.

Oh Lawd.

Seriously?

Ok, ’nuff celebrity gossip for today.

As you know Kat Von D’s Fall Collection 2010 consists of a brand new fragrance from the tattooed goddess, entitled Adora. I just wanna say I adora you all…ha! Sorry that was screaming for me to play on it.

This is Kat’s third scent with Saint and Sinner being part of the original release. I’ve only casually sniffed both Saint and Sinner and I know you’ve wanted reviews of them for a while now, promise I’ll get on that soon.

Adora means “beloved one” in Latin which is what this fragrance is all about, a romantic, sensually sweet blend of fruits and floral.

A new fragrance from tattoo artist Kat Von D.

Adora is a scent that should appeal to those who like a bit of sweet mixed in with their florals. It’s alot of fruity with a heavier, sweet floral base and hints of musk and wood to give it a slightly richer edge. For the most part Adora definitely falls into the realms of scents I enjoy using. It has enough sweetness to keep me happy without giving off an immature vibe and it also has a seductive sophistication that makes it wearable for either evening or day.

The fragrance starts off with juicy tops notes of lychee and boysenberry and I personally feel these stick around far into the dry down. The scent remains true to being sweet but notes of hyacinth and jasmine create a mellow floral vibe that edges on seductive a bit of mango which rounds these florals off and morphs them into a very pretty blend. Wood and musk give the fragrance more of a sensual body.

It smells rather gorgeous to me and can easily be used for day time or evening since the fruit notes give it a certain playfulness.

I tried the rollerball and I honestly don’t recommend it as a single purchase. It feels best purchased with a full bottle of the scent and toting around the rollerball for touch ups as the rollerball isn’t nearly as potent as a full bottle of fragrance is. So it’s best kept as something to tote around for touch ups in my opinion!

  • Those who like sweet, fruity floral blends!
  • Kat Von D fans (her fans will want in on this I’m sure)

  • Anyone who likes more complex, darker scents and expects the scent to mimic Kat’s ‘tude (this is more playful and flirty for Kat).

I enjoyed this one very much and I’ll be purchasing a full bottle for sure. The scent is really a me kinda blend and should end up gracing the vanities of those who enjoy fruity floral perfumes. Celeb perfumes can be annoying sometimes but Kat’s makeup and fragrance line brings out my goth membership and makes me want to purchase it all because of it’s rough around the edge rocker feel and look.

Likey!

Worth sniffling!

Anyone try it?

Definitely wanna try this one out. I have Saint and LOVE IT. And when I say “LOVE IT,” I mean, I FREAKIN’ LOVE IT. This one sounds like it’s perhaps similar in that it’s sweet mixed with floral? Perhaps I’ll check it out soon. 😀

    • the Muse

hey kel! I casually sniffed saint and sinner but wasn’t wow’ed which is why I def need to haul b/c I have a feeling I’ll love. Adora is really nice! worth adding it to your stash 😀

  • Chelsea

I have BOTH Saint and Sinner and I love them both though they are different scents in the terms of one I would wear during the day while the other at night. One scent is heavier than the other but I can’t wait to smell this!

    • the Muse

chel you can easily use this day or night it’s playful yet rich enough for evening 😀

Hmm, maybe I can buy this for my older sister for Christmas, since I bought her both Saint and Sinner last year…may as well get my Christmas shopping out of the way. XD

And I heard about Kat Von D and Jesse James. (My conversation this morning with my mom…Me: “Hey, mom, did you hear who Kat Von D’s going out with?” My mom: “Yeah, Jesse James. How trashy.”)

For that relationship, all I can say is “ick”. Kat Von D REALLY needs to learn to go out with guys around her age. Usually, there’s at least a decade’s difference between her and whoever she’s going out with.

    • the Muse

lol xail :0D you’re early girl!

LOL your mum got that one right! I don’t mind the age difference so much as the fact that he’s just ugh! Can’t believe she’d even bother after his drama

I have Saint and Sinner… Sinner I love and Saint is just okay to me (liked it lots at first, but it’s sweetness started to turn me off after a while). I’m really curious to get a sniff of this. They didn’t have it yet last time I was in Sephora…

Man, I am behind on my Kat Von D gossip. when did she break up with Nikki Sixx?!! I thought they had gotten back together. 😛 BF and I will be in LA next week, and our hotel is coincidentally down the street from High Voltage/LA Ink…so maybe I will get an in-person scoop. 🙂

    • the Muse

I thought so too. I’d date Nikki in a flash. I met him once and proceeded to swallow my tongue 😀 LOL go ask please and tell us! LMAO!

  • Amy Hoeh

I hope that she re-releases these scents as she’s expanding her line. You know… For those of us who started to play with makeup later in life. LOL. Happy Thanksgiving, Isabella. ❤️
