Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick Review and Swatches

And sometimes there are those of us who want and expect a little bit more from our lip gloss. Shiny, a glossy finish, and color are simply not enough for greedy types like you. You want more, more more!

Ok, I can give you more well Korres can actually be responsible for giving you more with its new Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick. It’s a lipgloss, it’s a lipstick, it’s BOTH!

Jump!

A cooling, water-based liquid lipstick with a line-smoothing formula rich in antioxidant Raspberry & Pomegranate extracts to protect against free-radical damage and smooth lip lines for youthful looking lips. The formula mimics that of a lipstick with a vibrant finish but with a liquid, creamy texture of a lip gloss.

So you want your lipstick to act like a gloss, here you go, Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick will perform the trick and do it well might I add.

Texture wise these feel like a liquid lipstick but they have the finish of a gloss. The formula feels kinda matte going on, don’t quote me on these things….it’s hard to explain but it’s kinda like a liquid-y matte feeling. But it is cooling on the lips with a high water content so your lips feel hydrated with a fair bit of shine once the product is in place. Now personally I get more of a liquid lipstick feel from the product as it’s heavier feeling than your average run of the mill lipgloss plus it lacks any real sticky, tacky feel that most glosses sport.

Pigmentation is crazy awesome to the point of being garish in some cases. These have some serious color pay off and can come across quite bold and vibrant so do be aware when selecting a shade. I tried four of the five shades released which were Red, Fuchsia, Nude, and Natural Beige. Although Red and Fuchsia were super pretty they are a little harder to wear than Nude and Natural Beige in my opinion. Don’t be scared of the nude or beige shades as they come across a bit peachy and prettier than their namesakes. Just a re-mention, Korres does classify them as highly pigmented, and seriously, they ARE.

Love the formula but you have to be careful during application since the color tends to run around your mouth without a liner in place also possibly will slip and slide into fine lines around the mouth if you have ’em.

As mentioned above some of the brighter shades such as red can be a very loud and slightly garish.

Although very hydrating after a few hours color tends to dry out a little bit on lips.

I was disappointed slightly that the cooling sensation wasn’t as noticeable as I hoped for. You do get a burst of coolness during application but I thought it would be something more for some reason.

  • Anyone who wants a gloss that acts as a liquid lipstick and vice versa.
  • Anyone looking for vibrant, bold, pigmented shades of lip products!

  • Anyone with dry lips (color stays hydrating for a few hours but towards my 3rd hour in I experienced a bit of drying).
  • Anyone who has finer lines or problems with lipgloss that migrates (consistency is thinner on these and they tend to migrate around the mouth so be aware those with fine lines around their mouth).

The product performs solidly and I really liked the beige, natural shades in this product release as they look very flattering on my lips however a few minor quirks mentioned above did get on my nerves. I’d definitely re-purchase shade 25 if I ran out as it’s a rather gorgeous shade. They didn’t quite work out to be what I thought they would and I was also disappointed they had zero flavor, I expected raspberry…haha…oh well!

Overall, not bad at all but not really my thing either. I chalk it up to me not being a fan of liquid lipstick in the long run.

I absolutely love Korres Cherry glosses, so I’ve been pondering whether to venture into these. I think your recommendation of a neutral shade to start is smart, and I’ll definitely keep that in mind when I see these.

    Great review, thanks! :]
