Lush Cosmetics Candles: Yay or Nay?

Lush is really hitting the fragrance market hard this year and I couldn’t be more delighted. I noticed that Lady Boy and Cocktail, two of B Never’s perfumes, have popped up on the Lush UK site. I’m hopeful Keep it Fluffy will make a come back as well.

Keeping in the theme of fragrance, Lush appears to be launching its first ever home fragrance in the form of…..

Candles?!

Jump!

Marked up at a whopping 25 each, Lush Cosmetic Candles aren’t exactly cheap but knowing Lush they’ll be highly fragranced items. I’m not sure what I think about Lush entering the home fragrance business. Interesting idea but unsure how it will sell or if it will sell for that matter.

What do you think?

Would you purchase Lush Candles?

(Doesn’t it look like a big old sushi roll? Or maybe I’m just hungry!)

At the moment Lush has created a few of the new Gorilla Perfume scents into these candles but I’m not quite tempted but hey if they put out, say, a Rock Star candle, I’d be on it like white on rice.

Sterling converts beautifully to USD at the moment so if you’re lemming these, now is the time to indulge although be aware with the warmer weather airmail may cause havoc so you may wish to wait for the cooler weather ahead.

Lmao shshi roll!! reminds me of the egg kind xD
I guess it’s pretty much guaranteed that these will smell great but idk.. the black around it is def. like seaweed haha!
Perhaps it will look better on a cute plate? I’m intrigued nonetheless 😀
    Thanx for sharing muse :3

    • the Muse

haha ally 😀 def might be cute if dressed up on a nice plate. I am too, quite curious tbh! 😀 I’ll have to wait for the cool weather to order. My pleasure ally!

I’m not sure that I would buy a candle from there, especially at that price!

  • electronicfly

Wow. Nay for 25 pounds. I think for me I’ll rather get the perfume/edt itself as that will last longer and you can bring it around.

    • the Muse

yeah agreed electronicfly but I might haul one just out of curiosity 🙂

Oh lord. Lush does not need to make something else for me to blow my money on. I am a candle fiend and a Lush fiend. Combine the two and I’ll foam at the mouth to get one of these. I want my whole house to smell like Lush!

    • the Muse

lol lauren how great would tarts be!? I’d be on that like wild fire!

  • donna

NO. They are way over priced. I bought a small chunk of Karma soap from them for $10 and the soap isn’t that great. Organic or not, it just doesn’t deliver. Lush has great products (Lemony flutter is amazing) but I know a gimmick when I see one and they are definitely out of the minds charging $25 for a freaking candle. CANDLES ARE THE CHEAPEST THING TO MAKE. haha

    • the Muse

25 pound donna 😀 not $25 dollars 🙂 agreed candles are inexpensive to make but the essential oils used are probably VERY expensive knowing lush 🙂

  • Heather

that is still way too expensive. I love Lush! But sometimes their prices are too high. I know they are making money if you ever research the founder he is very, very well off.

I’d get maybe one, to keep in the bathroom for when I take a bath with like scented Lush products. I did that with B&BW and their Sensual Amber scent… shower gel, bubble bath, and candles. I just haven’t used them yet, because I’m waiting for winter.

The first time I bought Lush (about 10 years ago.. .a bath melt that smelled like chocolate & cinnamon), I bought a chocolate soap somewhere and a chocolate candle to go with. Best bath ever.

  • rowan

they sound beautiful, but i’m not spending 25 on a f****** CANDLE :/

  • Dana C

I’m highly psyched! I just hope that they last long for the price.

  • amber

I love Lush and all, but some of their prices are a bit over the top. If they are 25 pounds ($39 US) they will probably be $45 on the US site. Hopefully this is an error. That just seems insane. I will keep ordering my candles from CBV and etsy for the amazing scents and prices. I am getting to a point where I love finding scrubs and products Lush doesn’t make at great prices from little businesses, as well as great quality bombs and bubble bars and the like. I think at this point, unless it is unique to Lush and reasonable (AOBS, Toner, a few bubble bars and bombs) I am going to refrain. Granted I do love trying the new stuff, just not the candles.

    • the Muse

naa no error amber pretty sure 25 pounds it is. I imagine $45 is about rights if and when they reach NA. I imagine the essential oils are what jacked the price up 😛

  • Kay

I miiiight get a Karma candle! (I know you would disagree though Muse!) But at that price I’ll stick with my reed diffuser unless these turn out to be reeeeally good. A Karma reed diffuser though…I’d be all over that bad boy! XD

    • the Muse

um kay you aren’t welcome here anymore. k bye now

LOL kidding 😀 sorry no offense can’t deal with Karma 😀

      • Kay

Ha ha, it’s fine! A lot of my friends can’t stand it either XD And my boyfriend ain’t a fan so no love when I’m embracing my inner stinky hippy 😀

        • the Muse

lol kay! 😀 I dunno, I just can’t get on board. I know SO many lushies love it but me, no way. I’m a ginger girl all the way 😀
