Drugstore divas gather round. L’Oreal Fall Collection 2010 should be at your local drugstores already and you probably have been privy to a majority of the release and possibly played with some of it already. But if you somehow missed out here’s the deets on what you can expect from L’Oreal this Fall!
Although it’s difficult for me to believe, I do realize not everyone is dropping hard cold cash on cosmetics daily. I consider doing so a perk of Musings of a Muse but prior to there ever being a MusingsofaMuse.com I still made room for Jello aka beauty.
My beauty budget tends to flow in different directions all the time, it really all depends on what my current obsessions are. Like right now I’m on a weird fragrance kick and I’ve been trying and purchasing out new perfumes and such so my color cosmetic budget is down and my fragrance one is up. Come Winter my skincare budget will rocket as I attempt to find some miracle cure for my dry skin and of course, in the Fall I search out all the best brown and gold eyeshadow so my cosmetic budget goes back up again.
It’s every changing you see.
But on a whole, I think my beauty budget stays pretty much the same.
I gotta say I find it utterly interesting how Eat, Pray, Love has taken on the beauty industry. The film launches next weekend and has garnered, for some odd reason, its own niche in not only fragrance but cosmetics as well.
As I was happily blogging away about the new Jelly Pong Pong Gift Set yesterday I realized something………
Megan Fox is the new face of Giorgio Armani Cosmetics and will appear in a new ad campaign starting this year. Megan already has Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans under her belt so this isn’t too new a venture for her.
A spokeswoman said: “Megan embodies the spirit of the women of today: free, confident and seductive. Her beautiful features reveal femininity, sensuality and strength.”
Aside from being a tad young (she’s 24) I think she’ll do well as the face of Armani. Megan reminds me of Bettie Page in some ways (not all ways as Dita Von Teese gets that award) and has a certain classy elegance.
I think it’s a yay for Megan Fox.
I’m quite eager to see the promotional images when they release!
What do you think?
Megan Fox as the new face of Armani Cosmetics?
If nay, who would you choose?
Off topic, but speaking of Dita Von Teese, I’d like to see her appearing in my makeup ads. Aside from MAC I don’t see Dita appearing in many this side of the country. Well, maybe not, I’d be broke buying everything she pimped out probably…..
Bobbi Brown continues the theme of “Beauty Rules” with a new face palette of the same name.
Those of you, like ME, who are terribly addicted to Bobbi Brown Palettes may find the joy in this one.
I’m so not a nail girl but my toes are really liking the sweet little Ulta I’ve Got the Denim Blues Nail Set ($10).
Awwww maybe it’s the name, maybe it’s the product, or maybe it’s simply the idea of a cute fluffy chick but I <3 me some Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff.
For a limited time you can get your mitts on some Cheek Puff and a cute little bag set from ASOS.
Avon ANEW Youth-Awakening Eyeshadow and Primer Kit combines the joy of a primer and a shadow all into one easy kit.
Conceal-a-holic here and every so excited about Shiseido The Makeup Natural Finish Cream Concealer ($25)!
I gotta tell ya, I’m a lit geek prior to being a makeup lover so when makeup and a good book are combined, I’m over the moon.
Bobbi Brown Beauty Rules Book should be popping up at your local counters and bookstores shortly. It’s Bobbi’s sixth book release and focuses on, not the mature woman, but younger women.
Bobbi shares her best tips and tricks for fresh, healthy skin, hair, makeup and nails. As always Bobbi’s main goal is the help women look like themselves with minimal makeup tips to create a more confident, prettier you!
Bobbi Brown Beauty Rules was created to help young women learn the beauty basics and proceed to enable them to get creative and experiment with their looks, in the end, ultimately finding their own sense of style.
I have Bobbi’s Makeup Manual and it’s one of the most user friendly makeup reads I’ve had the pleasure of owning. It breaks things down so simply and gives incredible tips for keeping things fresh and beautiful.
I think Beauty Rules is something every younger woman should indulge in particularly if you’re just starting out in makeup.
It’s available now from Nordstrom for $24.95.
I’m going to purchase one for my cousin who’s 15 and just now starting to get into cosmetics.
I seen the new NARS Fall Palettes at Nordie’s the other day, anyone see ‘em?
NARS has introduced two new palettes for Fall boasting a new zippered case packaging.
Will you be buying them?
