Stila Travel Girl Palettes Trendsetting in Tokyo

So much for releasing a palette a month! Stila’s Travel Girl Palettes have been releasing more like one a week rather than one a month. Stila Trendsetting in Tokyo is up and available on their site.

We discussed Trendsetting in Tokyo in a prior post and I think the majority vote thinks it may be a nay, myself included but I’ll still be purchasing anyway just because 1. I want the complete set of palettes and 2. I want to swatch and review it on Musings.

If you missed my prior posts you can explore both the US and Paris Palettes that have already been reviewed.

You can try out a few promo codes on your order one of which may get your free shipping (REFILL) and STILAAF which will get you 20% Off your total order.

Visit www.stilacosmetics.com to shop!

Happy Haulin’ friends!

Feel free to tell me if you get this one or not. Curious minds!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Haha, I’m currently on a makeup ban, but I decided to be a bad girl and pick this up (I used the 20% code and I automatically get free shipping through the end of this year).

I’ll probably get this early next week 🙂

Stila’s Friday Happy Hour is a free makeup sampler set and bag with any $10 purchase. It looks to be a pretty sweet deal so I picked up the pretty in paris palette. I hate you can only use one promo code so I got the set but hate the $7.95 shipping. Doesn’t that seem high for products that don’t weigh a ton??

PJ OMGGGGGGGGG I hate $7.95 shipping WTF! I agree that’s a crazy amount for something so light!

I’m afraid the textures of the palette will be like the previous ones.. but I do like the convertible color so hopefully that’s at least a win. Plus I want the full set now. Curse them for being cute!

I decided to go with the Happy Hour code (APPRECIATION) instead of the 20% off and I get the free shipping for the rest of the year.. I’ve been wanting the 24K smudge pot so I’m happy with this purchase either way.

*coughs* raising hands! I wasn’t going to get it until I saw the sweet friday happy hour deal..only to find out when I checked out that that set was sold out so i am getting the smile set instead (a 34 value)..not bad..
well…like you I have so far the USA, paris, let’s add Tokyo and the rest of the them…
then I tried to convince myself to still get it because I have so many bronzers, black eyeliners(and so many ZERO eyeliners…) and gold e/s..LOL
so it is on its way 🙂

amina I didn’t get that deal damn but that was a great one 😀 enjoy, wear it in health my dear!

I tried the code Refill but it didn’t go through! The other code Stilaaf worked though so thanks! 🙂

Ok – yeah I went home after work and bought this palette, and used the code APPRECIATION for the free gift, but they were sold out and got the Smile in Style set instead. I’m really happy with the SIS set, but I can’t believe the other sold out so fast. As for this Tokyo set, eh. The only thing I like are the two shadows on the top, and the convertible color. I’m a green-eyed girl, and blue’s not really my color. I really love the packaging

    • Ozma

Sorry – I got cut off, but yeah, I really love the packaging and the concept is creative. The shadows are definitely harder than the others I’ve tried, and I’m kinda disappointed in this particulary palette because the blue is so such a shocking color to me. I’m super-excited about the Moscow one coming out this month, because I’ve seen the picture of the convertible color, and it looks amazing. However, one thing I don’t understand is why in the world they would have the Fiji one come out in November!!?? This is a fall month!! The Parisian one looks like is should have come out in November, instead. Especially since I saw a description on Ulta and three of the colors are blue, and one is green. I’m not sure what the CC will be. Stoked, though!!!

      • the Muse

I think they got released earlier than expected Ozma 😀 that could be why?! Not sure though 😀 The shadows are def considerably different compared to the older formula but the cute packaging kinda makes up for it eh? 😀

    • the Muse

i like the packaging too ozma but that’s about it sadly. the shades are difficult to work with 😛 creating a look is impossible seemed like grr!

  • beautyjunkie520

I love the packaging of this palette but the colors are a little too bright for me, eyeshadow-wise. Looks pretty, though!
