Cover FX Eye Prep FX Anti-Age Smoothing Primer

Cover FX Eye Prep FX Anti-Age Smoothing Primer is an interesting product that the brand released recently. This is a primer with anti-aging benefits plus it’s formulated to reduce under eye puffiness and hydrate while working as a binder so that concealer and eyeshadow have a longer lasting wear.

I’ve been testing it out the past week and it’s an interesting concept. Not quite sure what I think about it yet but I’ll tel you more soon!

It is a whopping $43 bucks! Ouch! But if I begin seeing visible results I won’t mind shelling out in the least.

Anyone try it or wanting to?

Share it!

Available now from Sephora.

Interesting new product, Cover Fx seems to be trying to compete with the big boys in the cosmetics world.

Did you see the Dr. Oz show with Paula Begoun recently? (The clip is available on her blog). Well, she basically says that all anti-aging claims are a big hoax. That a moisturizer is a moisturizer is a moisturizer, even if it’s called a primer and sells for an exorbitant amount of money. She says the most important thing is to find a moisturizer for your skin type, and use sunscreen.

Well, that came as a big shock to me because I (WAS) the sort of person who ran out and bought every product marked “anti-aging” on the market – as long as it wasn’t tested on animals. And the thing is, I’m learning now that Paula has a point.

I mean over $50 (Canadian) for a primer? Something’s not quite right. I’ve used the other Cover Fx products and I didn’t think they were anything special, in fact, the SPF 50 primer made me break out and oiled up my face so badly I looked like a freak.

I’m not buying these crazy claims anymore. After 20 years of buying crazy claims, I think I’ve learned my lesson, the hard way of course, but is there any other way? (all that money…!!!!)

I would be interested in reading people’s opinions who have tested this product, and who find it actually reveals a younger-looking skin.

I think women have got to start challenging cosmetics companies when they make promises they can’t keep. And when they charge prices that are not in keeping with the rate of inflation.

Well, rant over. But I had to say my piece when I saw this new product.

    Thanks.
