Pixi Correction Concentrate Brightening Peach Review and Swatches
If you’ve been burning and yearning for The Skin Food Salmon Dark Circle Concealer Cream but had no way to purchase it because it’s available in Korea, you might want to check out Pixi Correction Concentrate as it’s a pretty decent dupe of Skin Food’s version and you can get it at your local Target too!
Dark circles are the worst and many people suffer from them and seek out the best possible way to conceal them. Many makeup artists will tell you the best way to diffuse darker circles is by adding in peach or yellow concealer to correct the darkness.
This is what Pixi Corruption Concentrate is meant to do. Diffuse, erase, and brighten using a peach base.
Does it work?

A peach corrector for concealing, erasing, and banishing dark circles to the under world, where they belong.
I know I’m a shallow prat but I love the packaging. This comes in a little glass jar and features a pale green lid with a pixi on it. Ok, everyone say it with me now, Awwwwwwwwww!
Now the jar mimics Benefit Erase Paste in some ways but don’t buy this because you think it’s the same formula or you believe it’s a full coverage concealer, because that’s not the case.
This is a corrector which brightens the eye area up and blurs dark circles with a peach base that counteracts darkness. There is no better color suited to dark circles than yellow or peach correctors, these are the best shades and your best chance for banishing darkness. This does a good job of both brightening the eye area up and concealing darkness. If you want you can use a concealer shade on top but I wouldn’t suggest it unless you have younger, hydrated eyes which can stand that much product piled up onto such a delicate area.
The product has a firm texture and is best applied by brushing under eyes, rather than patted. I noticed patting makes the eye area look a little too made up so if you have a dome shaped brush of sort sort try slowly buffing the product in and than follow up with a patting motion.
It will ease darkness considerably and create a good working canvas for makeup. In some ways it mimics Skin Food’s version however the texture isn’t as emollient or as moisturizing.
Drier eyes should take extra time to prep prior to use as this does have a dense formula that isn’t particularly hydrating or forgiving during application so a moist, dewy eye area is best suited for application or you’ll have problems with the product blending out and creasing, caking as the day progresses.
I was a little disappointed it didn’t make me look as a fresh as a normal concealer but this is no fault of the product. I find many correctors that are peach or salmon in color normally make me look a little less than flawless.
- Anyone with dark circles!
- Anyone who needs to conceal and brighten the eye area up!
- Anyone with drier eyes (proper prepping and priming is essential and key to get this to work correctly).
- Anyone who has alot of drama to concealer (fine lines, puffiness, etc…might not benefit from this formula).
This is merely $15 which is a great deal for the pot since it’s going to last you crazy long due to the pigmentation. I think it’s an excellent product to add to your beauty arsenal for days you’re really sporting serious darkness under your eyes. I wouldn’t use it as a daily concealer however on days I’m extra tired or days I have considerably crazy darkness going on, this is the perfect tool for concealing. As I mentioned above it’s also a cheaper and easier way to get a feel for Skin Food’s version which isn’t as readily available for purchase in the US.
If you have dark circles check it out. It should universally suit most skin types but not super dark ones.
Let me know if you try it!
