Stila GlamourEyes Mascara Review

So you want glamorous eyes for Fall 2010….yup, you, me, and the rest of the makeup world. Stila GlamourEyes Mascara is the newest mascara from the brand which promises the softest, plushest lashes ever.

Is it for you?

A false lash effect mascara that promises length, volume, and curl in a soft, plus formula that doesn’t weight lashes down!

Depending on how you look at it Stila GlamourEyes Mascara could prove to be your best friend or your worst enemy.

The formula as per Stila’s promise is indeed a weightless, buildable mascara that feels incredibly light on. It lengthens lashes and curls them decently upwards with a very lightweight, conditioning formula.

Now…

This is a blessing for those who have shorter, stubbier lashes which break off easily when using heavier, richer mascaras. The formula is so utterly light and gentle it barely feels like you have mascara on at all and it does a nice job of creating fuller lashes with a formula that builds easily without clumping and wears long without flaking.

This comes with a standard bushy brush applicator which works perfectly great at application so you aren’t left with flakes or smudge or clumpy uni-lashes. It brushes on easily and removes just as easily.

Now the bad….or not so bad depending on your view of mascara.

I prefer dramatic lashes and Stila GlamourEyes Mascara produces a more softer fringe of natural lashes. There isn’t any drama to be had here sadly. I do believe it should be renamed and a few adjectives like softer and natural should be added in rather than Glamour, as glamour isn’t happening with this mascara.

Now this isn’t nesscarily bad at all because the mascara will be ever so kind to those with shorter lashes that just can’t cope with a richer mascara however, those, like me, who want glamour and drama probably won’t love this.

  • Those desiring longer, softer lashes.
  • Those who want a weightless, light formula that won’t weight lashes down and keeps curl throughout the day.
  • Those who like a more natural fringe of lashes

  • Anyone seeking dramatic bold lashes with incredible sky high length.
  • Those reading into the name “glamoureyes” and expecting glam and glitz!

Stila GlamourEyes Mascara delivers all it promises in the way of a softer, plushier formula however it’s name is slightly misleading as this isn’t about the glam but more about the natural and softer world of mascaras. Those with shorter, weaker lashes will be ever so pleased with such a gentle easy to remove formula that wears well all day however those wishing for drama and a bold lash look may choose to look elsewhere.

I didn’t personally love but I know a 100 people, including my sister, who will absolutely adore this formula.

Anyone try?

Ok…so I saw this mascara along with a new Stila palette in my new Ulta mailer last night. Have you tried out the palette yet? It looks like a snowflake shape with different neutral shapes and I am lemming it so bad 🙂 lol

Hmmm I am not sure about this… I love long AND glamorous lashes. Do you think I can layer on other voluminisng mascara for a more dramatic effect? So far, Helena Rubinstein is still my favourite for mascara~

hi ashura kinds defeats the purpose hun. if you want a dramatic effect buy something that will give you drama 😀 don’t settle for this which is more of a natural finish and proceed to have to use other mascaras on top of…seems like a terrible waste 😀
