Avon 24K Glamour Holiday 2010 Collection

By Isabella Muse on October 27, 2010 22 Comments

in Avon, Beauty on a Budget, Holiday Collections 2010, Winter Collections 2010

I commonly associate gold and silver with the holidays particularly when it comes to makeup collections. I love change and variety when it comes to Holiday Makeup Collections but I’m also a sucker for keeping to all that gold and silver. In most cases brands seem to cater to my want in regards to these two shades. A traditional smoky eye using silver, red lips, beautiful gold lids….yes, brands definitely have the same idea as me for the Holidays.

The Avon 24K Glamour Holiday 2010 Collection gives me gold and it gives it to me on a budget. If you’re on a bit of a budget and all the makeup glam I’ve currently had display isn’t something you can indulge in this year, good news, under $30 or so can get you beautiful eyes and lips!

Check it!

Avon embraces gold all the way with this collection and I couldn’t be more pleased. At the current sale prices you can get pretty much an entire lip and eye look and it’ll set you back $30 or so plus if you really wanna stretch it you can indulge in both eye palettes and still keep under the budget.

Sweet!

Here’s the details on the Avon 24K Glamour Holiday Collection.

  • Avon 24K Gold Eyeshadow Quad $5.99 (Regular Price $8)

The palette is supposed to have a “dazzling” finish. Looking at the promo picture here, they seem quite lovely!
Available in Golden Splendor and Gleam Gold

  • Avon 24K Gold Eye Liner $4.99 (Regular Price $7)

A wink of golden shimmer in each liner!
Available in Golden Black and Golden Brown

  • Avon 24K Gold Lip Gloss $3.99 (Regular Price $6)

Gloss with a gold shimmer finish!
Available shades:

  • 24K Pink
  • Honey Gold
  • Ruby Luster
  • Simply Gold

  • Avon 24K Gold Mascara $4.99 (Regular Price $7.50)

Mascara with glittery golden flecks.
Available in Golden Black and Golden Brown

I picked up the mascara, an eyeliner, and both eye palettes for $28 with free shipping using promo code RED. So you see? Two great holiday looks for a budget!

Now I can’t say if the quality is there but damn straight I’m hoping so. I’ll review when my items have shipped out my way. I’m quite excited because as I mentioned I love gold for the holidays plus hey the promo pictures look fabulous.

If you’re on a bit of a budget you might consider this as one of your Holiday makeup indulgences.

I’ve included links to each individual product for you within the post since Avon is being a little tricky about this. I searched and couldn’t find it, used links from an email they sent and it says products not available…this was all happening after I ordered. Quite weird. So if you want it, use the links to indulge. These aren’t affiliate links just regular links to lead you to the product.

Do feel free to share your thoughts on the collection.

Curious how you like it.

I’m kinda feelin’ the love here!

The Quad looks pretty! I love the gold shade and the burgundy. I think I’ve liked most Avon products that I’ve tried in the past 2 years 🙂

I’m waiting for Avon to come out with a black gel pencil, they have purple and grey and bronze, but no black yet.

I broke down and ordered the Gleam Gold eye shadow quad, the Simply Gold lip gloss, and 2 of the K gold lipsticks – 24K gold and Golden rose. I got Golden Wine last year and I STILL love that one.

I am SO GLAD you made this post! I just got the 24k items I ordered yesterday. I LOVE the Gleam Gold Quad. The Golden Rose and 24k Gold lipsticks are as nice as the Golden Wine one I picked up last year. The Simply Gold gloss is nice. I also nabbed a Supershock pencil in Steel and it’s pretty. I did a look with them at my blog yesterday and swatched them.

Thank you so much for posting about this 🙂 The colors all really work well together and the gold is very visible in all 4 shades. They’re pretty!

if you haven’t tried the eyeshadow quads, there’s a review on my blog, I want be falling into details now, but I love them, and when those gold ones come out, I’ll be purchasing 🙂 The gloss also looks amazing, having in mind that all their other glosses are with silver sparkle

I do order Avon. I love their clinical anew line. I use their AHA pads in that line—love them, but be careful if you have sensitive skin. They do work. I am definately going for the lip in honey gold. I can’t wear cool colors so I’ll have to see swatches first on the others. I want to try that gold flecked mascara—that sounds fun. Thanks muse!

liner is a sort of khaki/brown combo with gold flecks……nice

lip gloss Honey gold…..good to wear over other lipstick, I put it over a coralish Clarins color

eyeshadows….pretty combo in the container. I ordered the Golden Splendor, I would say it is neither warm nor cool so I think the other set may be more of the cools.

I have good luck with these, so for the $5.00 they are a great purchase

mascara I ordered the brown usually wear black, but I think with the gold in it brown would be better for me

I ordered the two eye pencils (black and brown) the mascara, the ES palette in Gold Gleam, the lip gloss in honey gold. If I don’t like it my girls will use it I’m sure. 😀

The palette is beautiful—in the pan. Aww man, if only the ES’s looked the same when they get onto the eye. Shucks. Disappointing. The mascara is fine. No issue there. The eye liner is nice, it did migrate on me but I didn’t prime first so I’ll do that next time. (I have very oily lids) the lip gloss is a keeper. Love it!

Maybe I’m just spoiled to Lancome, EL and Lorac ES’s Muse. My daughter used the gold as a one color wash yesterday and it was very very subtle and pretty on her. I like a very defined eye though. You might be able to make it work for you!
