Avon Healthy Makeup Mousse Foundation Review, Swatches, Photos
I have an odd obsession with mousse foundations, one of my favs is from Bourjois Paris.
One of the reasons I love mousse so much is because it gives my skin such a beautiful finish however in most cases a formula such as this is more of a mattifying one and not so fab for drier skin like my own.
Avon Healthy Makeup Mousse Foundation is part of the new Avon Healthy Makeup champagne is supposedly helps to keep moisture locked in.
Does it work?

A lightweight foundation for light to medium coverage with a plus whipped formula that gives a matte finish that looks natural and feels weightless!
If you’re looking for a good quality budget whipped foundation, look no further as this delivers. This is $9.99 and a pretty decent quality in terms of formula, ease of application, and coverage.
This has a super silky formula that feels almost silicone-like in texture but not an uncomfortable, itchy feeling that comes with that silicone formula. You can easily blend with finger tips, a brush, or a sponge applicator so application is pretty much a breeze with any method you embrace.
I think I like the formula so much because of the airbrushed appearance it gives my skin. It blurs minor imperfections and dullness while leaving behind a soft, silky canvas for your other makeup.
Lucky enough it feels virtually lightweight and doesn’t flake on my drier skin. Coverage isn’t necessarily matte in my opinion but not hydrating either, it’s a cross between the two.
If you’re majorly oily and expect a matte canvas for makeup you might feel a tad disappointed as I didn’t think this delivered that mattifying of a finish as other foundations I’ve tried in this style formula. In some cases I experience a little oiliness around the sides of my nose after two hours of wear time however this might not be the foundation itself, could be just my skin considering the foundation oxidizes fairly quickly and I’d be lucky if it held out as long as two hours on my skin.
Product comes in a glass jar which some may be a bit squeamish about since many aren’t keen on dipping into product which is understandable due to bacteria and germs.
- Anyone who already has good skin and is looking for a more flawless appearance.
- Anyone likes whipped mousse-like foundations.
- Anyone seeking lighter, weightless coverage!
- Anyone seeking to mattify skin (this does an ok job leaving behind a matte finish but probably won’t fair well with extremely oily skin).
- Anyone seeking a long wearing foundation formula (like most foundations of it’s kinda this oxidizes fairly quickly).
Avon Healthy Makeup Mousse has some positive features in the budget foundation world but it probably won’t fair well if you have extra oily skin or are in need of coverage to conceal acne scarring, acne problems, etc…this wouldn’t be a great choice however if your skin is without problems this can easily blur minor imperfections and create a nice airbrushed finish, however I do wish it wore longer. My skin swallows it up within an hour or two and it fades rather quickly. This was probably best suited to a Summer release as the light formula feels amazing and blends oh so easily leaving behind light coverage and perfect skin.
Not perfect but decent enough if you don’t mind the short wear time, with a longer wear time I’d give it a stronger recommendation.
