Bath and Body Works Liplicious Cupcakes Lipgloss Review, Swatches, Photos
I wish I had a will and a way to admit to myself that I already have PLENTY of lipgloss to get through and I really don’t need more. But sadly, it never works out. I convinced myself recently I would not indulge in the Bath and Body Works Liplicious Cupcakes Lipgloss.
Yes, they were cute. Yes, they looked tasty. Yes, they weren’t too badly priced.
But no…NO!…no! I did not need them. Hell, even I’m honest with myself I’ll go so far as to say I haven’t even gotten half way through a single tube of last year’s Liplicious Glosses so why in the world do I need more?
Sometimes there’s simply no rhyme or reason to a makeup junkie’s life, you just have to roll with it.

Lipglosses in delicious, decadent cupcake flavors in a swirl design!
I couldn’t resist these for very long and I’m entirely upset with myself for letting them get the best of me but lord knows I’m quite happy, delighted, and pleased with myself for indulging.
Bath and Body Works really does something special with the Liplicious Collection and it seems to get better and better as time goes by. These Cupcake flavors are simply outstanding and the swirl design and colors are simply gorgeous.
I got four out of the eight or so that are available and yes, it was honestly difficult settling on just the four.
Each tube is a shimmering swirl design which houses a darker base color and a shimmering crystal or gold gloss. The glosses are opaque for the most part with a pretty shimmery finish however some shades, such as Red Velvet come across their true color and have a nicer color pay off.
Part of the novelty of the glosses is, of course, their gorgeous flavors and scents. These are the type of glosses you’ll have a hard time keeping on, not because of their formula but because they are so damn tasty you’ll want to lick them off.
I got Red Velvet, Pink Chiffon, Coconut Cream, and Lemon Glaze. And yes, they taste exactly, spot on like their namesakes.
Lemon Glaze is the prettiest for the Holidays as it’s a golden swirl of gloss with a cream white golden shimmer. Red Velvet is a red gloss with a shimmering crystal white swirl. Pink Chiffon is a swirl of two pinks, one lighter, one darker, and a crystal shimmer gloss. And Coconut Cream is a swirl of caramel, brown, and a white shimmer gloss.
The formula is thick and tacky but wears comfortably and fairly long although the taste does prevent it from sticking around too long as I readily admit to eating it off half the time, sorry, it’s damn tasty.
Wouldn’t say anything bad about these. Great formula that gloss lovers will adore or those who love kawaii makeup purchases although I’d love a revamp on the price. Glosses are $7 each with a buy 2, get 1 free incentive. I dunno why I’m such miss frugal about this but I’d love a buy more, get more free option as with many of the other items available at BBW. For example I’d love 5 glosses for say $15. I don’t love three glosses for $14 for some reason even though broken down it’s only around $4 bucks and change per a gloss. Weird mentality on my part and the glosses are a budget price but I still feel like three at $14 is somehow expensive and I’m not sure why I feel that way.
- Anyone who loves cupcakes (tastes like the real thing plus cute as hell cupcake packaging!)
- Anyone who loves tasty lipglosses!
- Anyone looking for a thick, shimmering gloss that wears well (these are comfortable and give lips a fairly lovely look!
- Anyone sensitive to fragrance or flavor in their lip products!
Overall, I’d say haul ’em. Yeah, yeah I know you have a ton of lipglosses like me but hey, you’re a makeup lover and junkie, just get ’em, you know you want ’em!
Great taste, great packaging, great formula, well worth a haul and Muse Approved for purchase.
