Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style Fragrance Collection

Ahh the Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style Collection launched recently. Anyone sniff ’em yet? I haven’t but I’m gagging to try ’em out. None to impressed with the velvet-y bobble head bottles, I thought the old girls were way cuter, but regardless I find some of the scents are always keepers with each launch.

I know some of you emailed me asking when I’d review and I’m working on it soonish so no worries, give you the deets shortly.

Until that time, here’s a break down of the new girls!

One thing you have to give this collection credit for is the fact that the change is so dramatic. The past two collections have played it safe by revamping the girls ever so slightly however for this release they went all out change which could prove valuable in terms of marketing since collector’s and fans are more likely to purchase something that’s new rather than revamped.

I’m not sure if I like the looks of the girl’s as of yet but some of the notes appeal to my nose for sure, watermelon? Hells yes!

What do you think?

Available now at HSN Beauty, Sephora, and other fine retailers!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m not a fan of the new packaging aesthetically, they sort of lack individuality from each other compared to the original releases.

The prior releases were more ethnically ambiguous and I felt that was a good selling point (especially when aiming for the younger market).

These just look, I don’t know, so blah.

yeah. these dolls definitely arent as cute as the older ones. i saw they had them in a set of mini rollerballs and i have a friend who’s obsessed with gwen so thats what shes getting for xmas.

I really want either Lil’Angel or Music’s hair color. Yeah, I realize I’m too old for it. Is music supposed to be visual kei or a school girl? I can’t really tell.

    • the Muse

I can’t either comrade. she has a school girl vibe but the colors scream visual kei but not gothy enough. ha I love the hair colors too!

Okay… G and Baby are friggin’ adorable. The other three…. not so much. Music looks like a dude. o_O

And totally agreeing with Alexandra on the lacking individuality thing. For some reason they don’t feel very distinct from one another anymore. They strayed a bit too much from the original designs, but it’s kinda cool that they took a chance I guess.

Btw, what’s up with G’s shoes? The straps look like they’re made from her flesh. And then there is the whole cloven hoof thing… @.@

Oh, and I’m pretty sure that Music is supposed to be Visual Kei. She has the platform shoes to prove it! XD
