Lancome French Touch Lipstick Cherry Kiki and Lancome Ombre Magnetique Review, Swatches, Photos, FOTD
I totally found the perfect vampy Fall lip shade! Gasp! I didn’t think I’d ever come across a shade that actually worked well for a vampy lip but the Lancome Cult Rouge French Touch Lipstick in Cherry Kiki is it! These are a set of limited edition collector lipsticks that celebrate Lancomes 75th Anniversary. The shades are available at Neiman Marcus and Saks if you’re lemming them.

Finally a chance to play with the Lancome French Coquettes Collection for Fall 2010! I visited counters late this Summer to take a look at this collection and left feeling like I needed none of it but a recent revisit and I’m left to wonder if I might have missed something.
For example, on counters the Lancome Ombre Magnetique didn’t come across nearly as gorgeous as the promo images but fast forward several months and I got a chance to play with Black Macadam and I’m simply enthralled by the texture and formula. Obviously the counter display was mucked about a fair bit because Ombre Magnetique is a fairly interesting eyeshadow if you’re working with brand new product and not something that’s been displayed and swatched to death.
The shade I got to play with is a true black with heavy duty silver sparkle. The product is loosely packaged and resembles any standard shade of shadow but the glass jar and general presentation of the product mimics that of a loose pigment. Looking at it, it’s easy to mistake it for a pigment but although it appears loosely packed it’s actually quite dense to the touch and doesn’t kick up dust when a brush is dabbed in for application. The shadow has incredible color payment with a rich pigmentation. The true black shade is peppered with beautiful fine silver sparkle. Of course, issues of fall out did arise a fair bit during application but the product blends like dream and will be an ideal pick for smoky eyes this Fall and will follow along well into the cold season ahead. I’m left wishing I hadn’t overlooked these and I’m hopeful my counter still has them in stock as I want the other two shades available.
Have you tried these yet?
What did you think?
As mentioned above I do think I found the perfect vampy lip shade for my tone. The Lancome French Touch Lipstick in Cherry Kiki is a perfect shade of wine-like burgundy. The formula could be what makes the shade so incredible since it glides on with a hydrating finish leaving behind a really great pop of color. I’m pretty impressed I actually found that single shade that can work as a vampy look. Gorgeous!
It’s mini silver container is supposed to be etched with a pattern reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower but mostly I feel like it reminds me of a fish net stocking! The shade has made be curious how I’ll feel about the other three colors released.
Although very late into my Fall discovers, I’m quite happy to have this small taste of Lancome Fall 2010. It’s made me retract my earlier impression of disappointment. The display was obvious the problem as the shades look very uneventful on counter but these products change my mine.
Loves!
