Lush Lip Dip Lip Scrub Review Lush Bon Bon Lip Scrub Review

Whether you deem it Lip Dip or Bon Bon, Lush’s new Lip Scrub is a hit! This sugary sweet lip scrub is made from cranberry seed oil, berries, and lemon to get lips soft and smooth.

Check it!

A lip scrub to get lips soft and hydrated that’s packed full of natural ingredients.

Don’t ask me why but Lush deemed this to different names but it is the same product. My version is called Lip Dip and was purchased in the UK where as the version available in the US is called Bon Bon. Dunno why but Lush is just trying to confuddle us here.

This is part of their Holiday Collection and I sure as heck hope it sticks around soon after because it’s probably my favorite lip scrub to date. It’s so tasty! It has a heavy base of sweet, sugary, slightly tart lemon and hints of berry and cranberry. It’s very candy-ish and sweet and the lemon and cranberry does not give it a tart, bitter taste in the least as I thought for sure I’d be puckering up my lips but nope the sugar makes it a delightful little blend!

The formula runs a bit grainy compared to other lip scrub and isn’t as hydrating or moisturizing but it still gets the job done. I like to wet my lips prior, take a small scoop out, and scrub around my lips and even my upper lip (I sometimes get dry skin here if my lips are chapped), and proceed to waste off.

It’s honestly a temptation not to sit there and lick it off, it’s so damn delicious.

If you’re used to a scrub that has a heavier oil base you’ll probably be slightly disappointed in this as the oils are absorbed fully by the sugar so you get a more drier product base. This formula does make things a tad messy to work with as it tends to crumble up easily and fall off lips but quick rubbing action on wet lips proves fruitful!

  • Anyone who has dry, cracked, chapped lips!
  • Anyone with flaky dry lips!
  • Anyone who wants to prep lips prior to applying matte lipstick (this will get lips smooth and prepped well)!

  • Anyone who wants a hydrating, moisturizing lip scrub (this is a bit drier so following up with a balm after is recommended).

Lush does deem Lip Dip a fizzy concoction a la Pop Rocks (remember those as a kid?) however this doesn’t fizz or pop and I believe they are referring to it’s taste as it has a certain effervescent about it. The flavor is outstandingly awesome particularly if you like sweets or candy. It gets lips in tip top shape and it’s a great staple to keep tucked in your beauty arsenal when the winter brings out dry, flaky lips!

Loves it!

Very Muse Approved for purchase!

Lush Lip Dip is available in the UK or buy the Lush Bon Bon (the same product) from Lush US.

Wow this is weird I think I got a bad batch or something. The one I got is almost mousse-like, it’s practically impossible to use because the consistency is so thin, it just slides right off.

UK, I didn’t think much of it before, just thought that was how it was but now that I know it isn’t I’ll definitely contact them 🙂

I bought this, and it is really hard to use. The texture is very fine and when you try to rub it on lips it just clumps up and doesn’t do anything. I dont feel like its really scrubed my lips. The previous lip scrubs are better, but I have not tried using water first.

Hi Pattie considerably different texture compare to other scrubs I’ve tried, drier so to speak 🙂 water seems to help!

**DONT USE WATER** I love this lip scryb, but if you add water to the jar the sugar will crystalize and the scrub will harden in the jar. Instead, miz some vaseline pet. jelly into it (just a little) to give it a moist consistency. You could also try an old chapstick!
