Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint Review and Swatches
I hoard Snow Fairy Shower Gel like a crazy lady. I love the stuff. I get several bottles each year for fear that the next time Lush releases its Holiday Collection that Snow Fairy won’t be included.
I should know better.
It always comes back but still the fear that it won’t is a very, very, very real thing. Imagine a Christmas without Snow Fairy? Gasp! Horrifying to even consider.
Lucky enough Snow Fairy is back again this year and even though it graces my shower 365 days of the year, thanks to my hoarding tendencies, I’m still happy to hail its return. Happy days Lush has extended the graces of Snow Fairy to a lip tint too!

A delicious tinted lip balm for lips!
I was pretty impressed that Lush took something as complex as Snow Fairy and fit the flavor into a Lip Scrub. Bubblegum Lip Scrub turned out to be so incredibly delicious that I was surprised I didn’t sit down and eat it with a spoon!
Flash forward several months and Lush Snow Fairy Lip Tint hits our Holiday Season with a bubble gum, snow fairy scent and flavor to make lips happy and healthy looking.
When I think of Snow Fairy I seriously do not think it would translate so well to lip products. It’s a shower gel after all and you can’t help but think, “ewww it’ll taste like soap!” But honestly, Lush took the scent and made it entirely tasty. It’s a cross between the fruity good nature of Snow Fairy with a sweeter bubble gum base that makes it smell oh so yummie and tastes even better.
Now unlike the recently reviewed It Started With A Kiss, Snow Fairy Lip Tint runs more cooler. The shade is a bright pop of pink that I dub great for cheeks. Now Lush didn’t have any intention of creating its lip tints for your face but I’ve been using them to add a healthy dose of color to my cheeks on days I’m not up for an entire makeup look. And guess what? They work a treat!
Unlike other Lush lip balms, Snow Fairy actually has a very good moisturizing base to it. It does feel a tad waxy on lips but not nearly as bad as other Lush lip balms I’ve tried and disliked. It’s bearable compared to those and anyone who isn’t keen on lip balms from the brand will appreciate the more hydrating feel of Snow Fairy!
For some reason the shade failed to work well on my lips. Where as It Started with a Kiss gives a really nice blush of color to my lips, Snow Fairy looks a tad unnatural and even a bit uneventful. I think it might work better on lips that aren’t as pigmented as my own. However, on cheeks, it’s a win!
- Snow Fairy fans (if you love the shower gel, chances are you’ll adore the lip tint).
- Anyone who wants a product that will quickly inject a healthy glow on cheeks (Multitask! Use it on your cheeks and your lips)
- Anyone with pigmented lips (my lips are pretty pigmented already and Snow Fairy fails to show up so well on them and looks a tad strange even)
If you want something to use on lips and cheeks I’d settle for It Started With a Kiss as I thought it worked well on both. However, if you have less pigmented lips in need of a dose of color Snow Fairy Lip Tint might do the job well and multitask on cheeks as well but if you’re lips lean towards being more pigmented you might want to stick to your cheeks like I did. Snow Fairy did have a good base to work with and isn’t nearly as waxy or hard textured as other Lush Lip Balms. It has a few flaws but fans of the brand won’t mind in the least.
Anyone try?
