Wet n Wild ColorIcon Holiday Palette Night Elf Review, Swatches, Photos
I’ve been stalking every drugstore in New York trying to get my hands on two of the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Holiday Palettes I don’t already own. It’s becoming borderline obsessive.
I haven’t been this hyped about makeup since Givenchy released its Diamond Powder!

Since I’ve already reviewed the palette’s formula in a prior post I won’t go into great detail here. If you missed that review please click here for more details.
These are limited edition palettes available from Wet n Wild for the Holidays. Each is $4.99 and includes a Wet n Wild ColorIcon Shadow Palette featuring six eyeshadows and a Wet n Wild ColorIcon Sparkling Eyeliner Pencil. I’ve already reviewed Golden Goddess in a prior post and the one I have for today’s review is Night Elf. Dontcha just love the name?
One thing that excited me about Night Elf is the fact that it has a Christmas-y red shade. Red shadows aren’t nearly common enough nor are they easy to pull off but I’m still attracted to them in a major way and end up hauling any and ever red shade I come across. I was delighted with the red in this palette as its a unique, off red shade that has a Chrismas-y feel about it. It’s one of the reasons that palette is so special in my opinion. Also included are shimmering shades of silver, matte black with silver glitter, off white cream, taupe, and an iridescent off brown.
The formula is incredible on these with a very soft, velvety feel that’s extra smooth and silky. They apply dreamy and blend easily although I did think that Golden Goddess had a far better formula than Night Elf in terms of pigmentation and texture but that could be because it contained more shimmery shades where as Night Elf has a few choice shades that are matte. On the other hand I felt like the pencil with Golden Goddess tugged a bit where as the one with Night Elf had a way better formula that smudged easily and applied smoothly. It was a toss up here but either way both palettes are an incredible value and fall into the realms of the “You NEED this” category.
For my look below I got a little crazy by applying the red on my lid and blending the black into my crease and proceeding to line my upper and lower lash line with the black pencil. It’s a bit of bolder look but I had fun with it.
Overall, the Wet n Wild ColorIcon Holiday Palettes are proving extremely awesome and very much a Muse Approval for purchase.
You seriously need to start stalking your drugstore for these. They are fabulous. There are two other palettes available in the series and I do believe it’s worth shelling out $20 to snag all four.
