Bath and Body Works Snowman Scentbug Home Fragrance Oil Fan Review, Photos

I couldn’t resist the evil temptation of the Bath and Body Works Snowman Scentbug Home Fragrance Oil Fan. I’m in love. He’s a little pricey at $18.50 but I used a combined coupon and got 20% off plus a free full size Twisted Peppemint Body Mist so I don’t feel nearly so bad about his high cost. If it’s any consolation he is considerably larger than the regular ScentBug range so that could make up for his cost.

Wanna see?

The Scentbugs are a bit disappointing and sometimes I feel like I’m wasting fragrance oil when using them but they are nice for sticking on a desk or in a smaller room. They won’t do as well as burning an oil but they do a nice job of creating a nice scent bubble around a small location. I personally like sticking one on my desk and flicking it on when I’m working at my computer.

How’s he work?

Open the draw in his tummy and you’ll find a cotton pad. Simply dose the pad with your favorite scented oil and proceed to switch him on. The unit has a small fan located under the cotton bad which works to circulate the oil and bring it up and out of the top of his hat. And that’s it!

He’ll work for 75 hours straight on regular double A batteries. He comes with a few extra pads that you can store on the bottom of the unit and you can purchase extras at any Bath and Body Works Shop.

If you want to add a little festive fragrance cheer to a small area, this guy is cute for doing so.

Available from Bath and Body Works.

Hint: You can always wait to grab him after Christmas if you’re not loving his price. As sales a plenty at BBW on Boxing Day!

Ha! We just got these in stock & they’re sooo cute. Have you seen it’s bigger brother that houses the big Slatkin & Co. candles? It’s the size of a cookie jar! I want it!

He *is* really adorable. I might grab one in the sale after xmas. It’s true they’re not as nice as burning an oil (unless I close my bedroom and bathroom door and leave them closed while the scentbug is on, the fragrance never seems to build…or even become noticeable), but theyr’e cute and in an enclosed, small room they’re ok if you don’t want to worry about an open flame. You know, I’ve recently fallen in love with the three-wick candles. The single wick of fireside didn’t impress me, but the three-wick definitely seems to scent many rooms well, and stays strong unlike oils that burn strongly initially and lose intensity after 30-40 minutes.

Thanks for the photos of the Snowman, he’s so cute! He’d look super adorable next to the bat scentbug (picked up for $3!).

totally worth it on sale sarah. Agreed with everything you said. They don’t let the scent build at all :( but on my desk or in a smaller room they do ok. I honestly haven’t tried the three wick so I prefer tarts as I feel I get more throw from them than candles but does the three wick really do the trick!? I know Yankee Candle Jars are absolutely disappointed, tarts are fab but the jars are disappointing as hell!

      My pleasure ;0D

PS Love the bat! got him too!

Yeah, some of the yankee candles are hit and miss. For the money, Illuminations is where it’s at, candle-wise, but I haven’t seen a physical location for them in many years.

I do think the three-wick candles are nice. Granted, I grabbed two with the “3-wick candles for $10” coupons they had a little while back (might still be able to find them stuck to the lids of the pre-holiday candles), and for the money think they were a good deal. I’ve been burning Kitchen Spice almost daily for many hours and it smells soooo good. Warm, cozy, and homey. The other one is Fresh Balsam and it doesn’t put out quite as much, but it’s still pretty good…though I’ve been saving that one for closer to xmas.
