Japanese Cosmetic Collections Holiday 2010 Comes to Musings of a Muse

For the first time, it what seems to be too many years to count, I am bringing you Japanese Cosmetic Collections for Holiday 2010.

I’ve been very remiss in covering Beauty Abroad particularly Japan lately for a few reasons one of which was alot of rehash of colors, products, and generally items I wasn’t interested in particularly Holiday Coffrets which normally excite me.

Last year, I covered one or two items from Japan but nothing major since I failed to find the joy in some of the releases plus a few readers had expressed a dislike for the reviews because they felt it was difficult to locate the products in the review.

This year, I felt like we could use a little different. So for the first time in a while I will be covering Japan Winter and Holiday 2010. This will include reviews from Kanebo including Kate and Lavshuca plus Shiseido’s Majolica Majorca Holiday 2010 Collection and many other interesting bits and bobs.

I hope you’re excited about these reviews as I am.

Until they arrive please feel free to dive into the archives and start brushing up on Japanese Makeup if you haven’t already, there is ALOT of catching up to do if you haven’t had a chance to see these posts.

Enjoy!

Feel free to tell me what Japanese and/or Asian Collections that are tickling you this Holiday.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I so must refuse buying the Cosme Dectore limited edition because I already got Guerlain’s, Anna Sui’s, Majolica Majorca’s and Jill Stuart’s. ARGH….omg I’m so excited for them to finally arrive here!!!

    • the Muse

Anna this year’s Cosme Dectore Coffret, imho, is a MUST have ;-D It’s amazingggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine is in transit ;-D

      • Anna

I know because you somehow can afford them all XD Wish I was in your place in this case. Gosh, I so look forward to your reviews of them! I’ll personally review them – but in German, so

        • the Muse

Aw I’m glad you looking forward to the reviews Anna ;-D! glad to hear that!!!!!

  • Anna

Hahaha oh my god guess what, my mom ordered the Cosme Decorte set for me. Now there’s just the Anna Sui set left for me to order hahaha

    • the Muse

w00t nice Anna ;-D! I’m not getting the AS this year, just wasn’t appealing but leaning towards possibly the JS one ;-D and RMK!

  • Anna

JS is so pre-ordered. Where did you buy yours?
Also about shu uemura… it’s so tempting, but really the pigmentation is kinda creepy, the brush set was described as ‘cheap’ because of the production and well the lashes are tempting as well, but in the end they’re just normal lashes and you can add stickers to your normal lashes as well, so no shu for me. By the way, what do you think about the Majolica Majorca and Suqqu release?

    • the Muse

a friend in Japan got everything for me Anna ;-D thankfully the falsies failed with me so I can save money on those, beautiful but skip ;-D Pigmentation is hit or miss with Shu, I agree ;-D MJ was disappointed this year…mascara and perfume?! wow. But I have hopes Spring will bring a major launch considering they do a big push during that season but I did go ahead and get the mascara and perfume anyway as the idea of red tinted mascara was such a novelty. Suqqu I’m always meh on tbh, doesn’t appeal to me. ;-D what did you think of KATE and Lav? I love the Kate single shadows and got all the shades. Couldn’t resist!

      • Anna

I’m not a fan of Asian eyeshadows at all, gladly I could resist Lav, but I haven’t seen any promotion pics for the KATE collection yet??

Hm I think I don’t need red mascara (as it won’t show off anyway, I think?), but I’m excited about the perfume, but will read reviews before. Who knows if I really like it, what a shame we can’t try fragrance on the internet hahaha – virtually.

        • the Muse

hey anna kate is on the site already. they introduced new single carat shades, I’m in heaven ;-D LOL scratch and sniff would be nice ;D

  • jlau

OMG SO THAT IS WHY YOU HAVEN’T BEEN COVERING ANY ASIAN PRODUCTS?!?!?! I wish you would start again! I will be excited to read your new reviews.

Lately I’ve been using a lot of Korean skincare products versus Japanese. A lot of random stuff I found when I was in Korea. They gave me so many samples! I am still in love with the jelly eyeshadow I got from Jill Stuart =))) I should have bought more! I still haven’t found a mascara to rival Majolica Majorca. I am also afraid to try. They always smudge because of my oily lids. If I could find one just as good but easier to take off that would be a dream come true!

    • the Muse

yea jlau 🙁 I had a lot of ranting sigh. Plus some collections were a rehash 😛 But this year I feel the need ;-D so far got Lavshuca, Kate, MJ, MD, and a few other items ;-D lined up for review. god I love the Jelly Shadow from JS too and CD does good ones too ;-D MJ was my HG for soooo long mascara wise ;-D best stuff ever. did you try their eye makeup remover? could work at removing the mascara, I reviewed it a few months ago ;D

  • Misato-san

    oh, Kimura Kaela <3
(she's the female in the first pic, she's a singer XD)

I'll look forward your reviews, there are lots of Japaneses brands I'll like to try… I love Kose's last waterproof mascara, I got it from a friend who was studing in Japan when it was released some months ago.

    • the Muse

hey misato yup ;-D I know her. Kose makes some fab mascaras!!!!!!!!!! ;-D

  • emmy

oh i cant wait for your reviews!!

you havent done any japanese reviews in a while!

  • Bethany

I’m really looking forward to this. <3 I think I've read the complete archives of your Asian make-up reviews. xD

I've finally started using Kiss Me HEROINE MAKE long and curl mascara and I've found that it's near impossible to take off. o _o I think they have some remover too, but I'm reluctant to spend the money on something just to take off my mascara. D:

    • the Muse

aww jeepers bethany so flattering ;-D Aw I don’t blame you! I use Bi-Facil that stuff removes everything ;D

  • Miss D

Oh, thanks so much for doing some Japanese reviews! I can’t wait to purchase a new Lavshuca eye palette, one of those new Integrate eye palettes, and the new Visee Limited Edition eye palette in Rose Pink Fur. The sad thing is that I have one of the previous Visee spring limited edition palettes that I haven’t even used yet…and now I want another one. Muse, you should purchase the Rose Pink Fur one too- it looks so pretty!

    • the Muse

my pleasure miss d ;-D intergrate never caught me but lately they look kinda tempting. I didn’t get the Rose Pink but I did get the Blonde ;-D maybe will go back for the Rose ;-D we shall see! I have many unused, unloved visee palettes too D, can relate ;-D makeup overload eh?!

  • Fantastic

Alright, I’m with the rest of these girls! THAT’S why you haven’t been reviewing Asian beauty?! I’ve been missing it so much! I’m looking forward to these reviews the most!!!

    • the Muse

ah thanks fantastic it’s so great to hear everyone is hyped to hear Asian reviews ;-D
