Josie Maran Love Nest Josie’s Argan Favorites Review, Photos

I’ve commonly associated Argan Oil with Emu Oil for far too long. No idea why when one is a bird and one a plant. WTH am I thinking?!

Anyone try Josie Maran Argan Oil, no, not Emu Oil. I’ve worked it into my regime for the past two Winters, it’s fab for dry, flaky skin.

If you haven’t tried it yet the best way to do so would be snagging yourself Josie’s Love Nest Argan Favorites. It’s a cute little set that not only features her best selling Argan Oil but other fab little offerings too! I love it for the name along, Love Nest awww, oops wait, another reason to think of birds, nest!

A set of Josie Maran goodies infused with Argan Oil goodness for your skin, face, and eyes!

This set is great for any number of reasons but most important because it’s a fine introduction to Josie’s Argan Oil. If you haven’t tried the oil before it’s ideal for dry skin types particularly during the cold harsh winter. You can multitask with the oil and use it just about anywhere, some folks even use it in their hair. I personally stick to elbows, knees, and face. Argan Oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which have anti aging properties, I can’t say whether it’s been doing the job in the anti-aging realms, time will only tell, but it does a fab job of keeping my skin hydrated. I only use a few drops in the evening never the day because it is pretty rich for daily day use. The formula runs pretty thick and has a slippery, emollient feel and absorbs easily.

The set also features the new Argan Color Stick in Petal Pink. Honestly, doesn’t remind me too much of pink but it is a gorgeous shade of coral, peachy goodness! The blush is pigmented as hell and has a hydrating feel that blends easily. Loves this alot and eagerly awaiting new shades!

The GoGo Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara is also quite nice. This features a bushy brush and it lengthens quite well. It’s more of a traditional mascara and doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles but the formula is lightweight and gets the job done to create fuller, longer lashes. I’m considering a purchase of a full size on this.

Argan Illuminizer is a pearl beige shade that you can smooth on to highlight areas of the face and eyes if you please!

Nothing bad here however I don’t know if I’ll make much use of the Illuminizer as I’m not good with highlighters and always feel like I look goofy with them in place but this is just a personal preference. Some folks like to highlight, some not so much so it really depends on you!

  • Anyone with dry skin (argan oil is infused all the products making them hydrating, moisturizing experiences).
  • Anyone who wants healthy makeup options (Josie’s line is free of parabens as well as other harsh ingredients).
  • Anyone interested in checking out Josie’s cosmetics (This has a nice line up of several of her skincare and makeup items so you get a few things to check out).

  • Anyone with oily skin (I’m not sure I’d recommend Argan Oil to those with oily skin as it is pretty heavy).

The set is $25 and has some healthy size samples in my opinion. The Argan Oil alone will last you literally ages since a little goes a very long way. I did think that the Illuminzer was a bit wasteful for me personally so that does up the price but regardless I can easily find some use for it such as a highbrow highlighter. The set is a great introduction to Josie’s brand or a great little haul for those who are fans already.

This is a great set! I recently discovered Josie’s argan oil, and I love it! It does wonders for my dry skin.

Hi Muse, thanks for the review. I’m wondering if the cheek color here is similar to Tarte’s cheek stain? thx!

    • the Muse

not really suzanne. Tarte’s version is more gel-like and this has a more hydrating, heavier feel. It doesn’t leave skin dewy or tacky either as I find Tarte’s stains do that sometimes. Hope this makes sense 🙂

    Hey Muse!

I picked up this set a week or so ago and I’ve been using everything regularly except the mascara. I also have super oily skin but I’m loving the argon oil. I use it at night and wake up with nice skin and its not an oil slick. =) Its definitely worth $25.

amanda super to hear it does work on oily skin! I wasn’t sure. It felt a bit heavy for oily skin ;-D awesome!
