Lorac Tie Dye For Lip Gloss Collection Review, Swatches, Photos
Get it? Tie Dye For? Ha! See? I’m not so slow after all. Granted, I didn’t get the Hide and Go Cheek reference from Hard Candy but I totally get the to Tie Dye For one!
In all seriousness this is probably my favorite gloss set of the season. Purchasing gloss sets during the Holidays is a hit or miss situation. It’s hard to say which will be winners and which will be mediocre purchases that saved you money but don’t have an incredible formula to back them up.
The Lorac Tie Dye For Lip Gloss Gift Set gets you five generous lipglosses, with a fab formula, plus it’ll only set you back $25 bucks. Formula, quantity, and inexpensive? Check, Check, Check!

Five “tie dyed” lipglosses from Lorac in a gift set ready for giving!
You gotta admit some gloss sets definitely forsake size and quality to give you the gift of many. I mean Holiday sets are all well and good but sometimes the size of the glosses are super tiny where as other times the gloss formula runs a bit shabby. Lorac has both a great quality and a nice size to back it up. This is one of my favorite gloss sets this Holiday Season!
These are 0.11 compared to a normal size Lorac Gloss at 0.17. So really it’s a nice substantial size in my humblest.
The novelty? The tie dye formula of course. It doesn’t really speak Christmas to me but I absolutely love the design. The glosses are made up of this groovy tie dye design which features three or four different gloss shades in one tube. For the most part the gloss is one single color but it’s still really a funky effect in the tube.
They are a full color gloss as well so you aren’t investing in an opaque, sheer, subtle gloss here. You’re getting great pigmentation and color pay off in each and every gloss. The formula runs towards being thicker and has a nice creamy finish. It’s not necessarily a glossy gloss but it has a nice shine and a hydrating feel. It wears comfortable to me without being too tacky or sticky and has a few hours of wear time prior to needing a touch up. The applicator is a smaller brush which is fabulous in my opinion since it allows you to really layer it on as sponge applicators simply won’t cut it for such a brilliant gloss formula and would ruin the effects so I’m all in favor of this style applicator.
They did take the time out, thank god, to name each gloss individually. It’s a total pet peeve of mine getting a gloss set and proceeding to have to point it out to someone as “that pink gloss from so and so brand…” I’d like to be able to have a name for it.
The glosses include In the Mix (Nude, Orange, Beige Combo which comes across as a nude peach on lips), Flaming Mix (Orange, Red, Raspberry, and Peach Combo which comes across as a burnt candy apple red on lips), Shocking Twist (Fuchsia, Pale Pink, Raspberry Combo which comes across as raspberry fuchsia on lips), Berry Blender (Berry, Purple, Cream, Plum Combo which comes across as a bitten blackberry shade on lips), and Social Mixer (Berry Pink, Pale Pink, and Iridescent Pearl Combo which comes across a rosy pink on lips).
I honestly have nothing to say bad here. Love these!
- Anyone wanting an inexpensive lipgloss set that has a nice variety of shades, nicely sized glosses, and a nice formula to back it up!
- Anyone who wants more for less (this is $25 bucks broken down that’s $5 a gloss).
- Those seeking a glossy gloss and not a full color gloss (this comes across as a full color gloss so if you’re wanting something sheer and natural this isn’t it).
Lorac again, like always lately, gets this lipgloss set RIGHT. It’s one of the best ones I’ve tried so far in terms of gloss sets for the Holidays and has a great offering of product. I really loved the formula, loved the design of the glosses, loved the $25 price tag, and just overall, enjoyed the glosses.
I think it’s worth a haul and it deserves a Muse Approval of purchase!
Loves it!
