Make Up For Ever Rock for Ever Aqua Eyes Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

Remember when Michael Damian did the Rock On remake? I was totally upset about this since I had such a hardcore crush on David Essex. Damian’s version was kinda this pop sensation where as Essex did this moody, devil may care tune.

You decide.

Which do you like better?

Look at that hair! Gawd! How embarrassing!

Look at those moves! Holy Smokin’ Batman!

Speaking of rockin’ on anyone check out the Make Up For Ever Rock for Ever Aqua Eyes Collection.

Loves this!

A set of five Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyeliners in a reusable, studded tin case!

This one is kinda a no brainer for fans of eyeliner in the realms of Urban Decay 24/7. Aqua Eyeliners are super creamy, apply like a dream, smudge out beautifully, and wear long and hard.

The novelty of this gift set is definitely the cute storage tin in a heavy metal-ish design. Rock on \m/ !

You get five mini liners in:

  • Gold 9L (metallic yellow)
  • Bronze 10L (metallic bronze)
  • Dark Grey 21L (dark metallic grey)
  • Mat Black 0L (black)
  • Silver 8L (metallic silver)

The shades all have a liquid metal effect. One of the greatest appeals of these liners is the budge proof formula. Those with oily lids who have a hard time keeping product in place will adore these. Once in place they set really fast and stick around for ages. You can pretty much get stuck in a Tsunami with these and not worry about your liner smudging!

Price wise this isn’t the cheapest liner set around for the Holidays. 5 x 0.025 oz liners will set you back $36 making each $7 and change. Considering full size liners are $17 and 0.04 oz you’re looking at a bit of a cost here. However, I will say the fun packaging really makes up for the price. At first I thought the case was cardboard but than I realized it was a reusable tin so that does kinda even out the cost and may make it worth your wild if you’re a Make Up For Ever fan since the tin could prove to be collectible.

  • Anyone needing a super long wearing eyeliner formula.
  • Anyone who loves Aqua Eyeliners already and wants more of ’em (five shades here, variety, the spice of life).

  • Anyone who wants more for considerably less (there are other liner set available this Holiday for considerably less price wise).

I like the set alot as it contains some great shades plus I’m a sucker for the tin, the packaging just slays me. Make Up For Ever fans will easily love this and want it which is understandable since it’s a killer limited edition set however those who want a bit more bang for their buck might see it as expensive. I definitely feel the love but my logical side says $36 for 5 mini liners is a bit much!

The Make Up For Ever Rock for Ever Aqua Eyes Collection is available exclusively at Sephora.

Did you haul it?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. they look really good, but i went with the ud 24/7 limited edition set because you get more liners and a full size black one for the same $36. that case IS too cute tho!

I irrationally hate eyeliner sets because even though I’ve only ever used up brown and black eyeliner pencils, I still feel like I’m getting cheated by the mini sizes.

Plus there’s always the one color that you will never or rarely ever use and it makes me kind of sad to see that one desolate and unloved pencil sit off to the side while all of its “siblings” get used.

Also I am really glad to see someone else who hates the Michael Damien remake. I feel like it stripped and sanitized the song of its true rock-n-roll grittiness which is part of what made it so appealing in the first place.

aw penny inject some color into your eyeliner life girl ;-D

I agree. the MD remake was horrifying to me. It made it into a complete pop sensation type of song which completely threw me! UGH!

It’s way cute but yeah, bang for the buck… and also, I have UD liners in all of those colors but the bronze/copper one already. 😛

The colours are definitely very holiday with all the golds and silvers, but sadly the MUFE Liners do not wow me, they feel hard to me and I cannot get them to show up on my waterline.

I always love it when you add those videos, the make my day 😀
The first one was hilarious! Water on a drum and all those smoke, gives me the giggles.
The second one is waaaaaaay cooler, too cool for the video nearly.

Have a great weekend Muse 🙂

I thought it was just me that remembered Cricket’s BF from Y & R that did this song, remember how cheesy it was? My Grandmother still watches that show regularly at 89-it used to be on when I was younger and I’d watch it with her

aw never was a y&r watcher ruthless but remember MD being on the soap ;-D

I want these! The Urban Decay set has no real metallic colors in the set. I love mini eyeliners in odd colors. They make more sense. When am I ever going to finish a full sized bright metallic liner? Esp gold…. I’m not a big gold wearer but I still need one sometimes.
