Sonia Kashuk What Glitters Glows Eye Palette Review, Swatches, Photos

Sonia Kashuk What Glitters Glows Eye Palette for Holiday 2010 should be available at your local Target, if not, give it time it should be there shortly. Yes, it is a tad bit of a rehash on Sonia’s normal releases. She does favor releasing this style palette for the Holidays and actually it’s kinda a seasonal release for her as well but I do like exploring these palettes regardless as they are inexpensive, make great gifts, and are elegant palettes for a nice price.

L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation Review, Swatches, Photos

They tell me imitation is the highest form of flattery. Perhaps Maybelline Dream Mousse is feeling all kinds of flattered that L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation is looking all kinds of similar.

L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation just recently launched and should be at your local drugstores. It’s a whipped souffle-like foundation much like Dream Mousse. Don’t quote me, I’m not an expert, but this is probably only the second whipped foundation within the US market. I can’t honestly think of another available here in the US.

Now I like whipped foundations ALOT particularly Bourjous’ version, damn that stuff is amazing. However, I’ve had my ups and downs with Dream Mousse and normally stick to using it in the Summer when I want lighter coverage.

I was all about trying this new version from L’Oreal and was quite curious how it would stand up against other formulas I’ve tried in the “whipped” realm.

Lorac Box Office Sensation Face Charts and How To Looks

Lorac Box Office Sensation Looks Face Charts 2010

Thank the makeup Gods! Lorac has some great face charts and how to’s for the Lorac Box Office Sensation Traincase. I’m so happy to see this as the one thing I didn’t like about the palette was the fact they didn’t include some “how to” looks! If you have the palette, these should be a very welcome tool for creating some great looks using it.

If you missed my review please see it by clicking here and proceeding to take the jump to see some the looks created by Carol Shaw, makeup artist to the stars and creator of the Lorac line.

MAC Pink 4 Friday MAC and Nicki Minaj Collaboration

MAC Pink 4 Friday MAC and Nicki Minaj Collaboration 1

MAC Pink 4 Friday, a collaborated lipstick shade between Nicki Minaj (who?!) and MAC will be available for purchase starting November 26th online only at www.maccosmetics.com and will be offered each following Friday (December 3rd, 10th, and 17th) in the month of December.

Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian hip-hop diva according to MAC. According to me? I haven’t a clue who she is. Eep! Have I lost touch with pop culture? I’ve honestly never heard of her but than again my taste in music runs to the extremes.

Nicki’s shade, is a creamy pink satin formula, kinda looks dup-ish to the recently released Lady Gaga Pink that MAC created for Viva Glam.

Honestly her shade does seem a tad hard to pull off for many in my humblest, I thought the same about Gaga’s shade but if you’re a nude pink kinda girl this should appeal.

MAC Pink 4 Friday MAC and Nicki Minaj Collaboration 2

It does appear super limited edition so it could appeal to hardcore MAC collectors.

What do you think of it?

Baviphat Peach Magic Lip Tint Review, Photos

Baviphat Peach Magic Lip Tint 3

Baviphat is a Korean brand that has a bit of a Benefit vibe due. Packaging features retro images of girls and it kinda gives me a Benefit-like feel for some reason.

Recently the brand became available in Malaysia and the lovely Sue from My Women Stuff sent me over a few items to try out

I’ve been obsessed with getting my hands on some of the offerings from the brand for a while but I had a dickens of a time trying to get their site to load so I can browse the selection.

I thought I’d start off my dive into Baviphat with their Peach Magic Lip Tint.

Let’s have a look!

An Open Letter To Bath and Body Works: Ahem…Where’s Lambie?

Dear Bath and Body Works,

I appreciate the Sweetest, Softest Collection. It’s cuddly and warm and oh so delightful for gift giving but….

Where’s Lambie?

I buy a Lambie Blanket, Lambie Slippers, and Lambie Accessories every year but this year there isn’t any Lambie. Do you have plans to release it maybe on Black Friday?

If not, this could prove worst than the year without Santa Clause.

So please….

Bring back Lambie.

k, thanks!

Happy Holidays!
the Muse

Well, as you know by now Lambie hasn’t popped up in store or online. Wonder what Bath and Body Works is up to. I gotta say if it hasn’t made its appearance yet I doubt it’ll make appearance anytime soon as we are pretty much into the Holiday Season at this point in time and we are all shopping or even, if we’re organized, done shopping.

What are the chances we’ll see Lambie this year?

Oh well at least we have some lovely offerings from the Sweetest, Softest Collection to pacify us but it isn’t Lambie…sniff.

Any fellow Lambie fans out there?

Share it!

Yay or Nay: Oprah Winfrey Hope in a Jar

Oprah Winfrey Hope in a Jar

It’s really rather sweet that Philosophy is honoring 25 years of Oprah by slapping her face on a jar of Hope in a Jar.

For a limited time you can purchase the limited edition jar for $38 to $105 depending on which size you want.

Oprah’s damn lucky because the woman hasn’t changed much since that photo was taken and her skin and face are still looking pretty damn youthful.

So what do you think of Oprah Winfrey’s Philosophy Hope in a Jar?

I gotta say nay simply because Oprah looks ALL kinds of pissed off to be on that jar. It looks like someone stole her lollipop and proceeded to snap a picture of her soon after.

New picture Philosophy. One of little girl Oprah grinning happily.

Available now from www.philosophy.com

Disclaimer: Oprah was not harmed in the making of this post. It’s just for fun!

Bare Escentuals The Perfect Gift Collection Review, Swatches, Photos

Bare Escentuals The Perfect Gift Collection 2

I gotta admit that I thought the Bare Escentuals The Perfect Gift Collection was an ickle boring but part of it’s appeal was 1. it’s packaging and 2. its auto delivery status on QVC.

Basically Bare Escentuals packaged this up on an auto delivery which offered new seasonal colors every few months. Fabulous gift in my humblest which is why I ordered some as just that but I couldn’t go without getting one for myself because they came in a hat box. Gush! Totally slayed me. Couldn’t resist that kinda packaging. I know, I know I shouldn’t give into the packaging demons but I couldn’t resist plus hey it was a mere $36 dollars for several full size BE products. Not a bad deal all around.

But the colors…well they are a bit meh but wait until you see them in action!
