B&C Laboratories Sony CP Peach Hand Cream and Lip Balm Review, Photos, Swatches
I was thinking hard about it, no worries, haven’t shorted any circuits here….and I realized I apply hand cream just as chronically and compulsively as I do lip gloss.
Seriously.
Any chronic hand cream appliers out there? Is there a club? Can we get moral support for the compulsion? Is there anyway to stop when presented with kawaii fruit shaped lip balms and hand creams from Japan?
Why do they tempt us?
Jump!
A peach scented hand cream and lip balm from Japan!
Sony CP actually has an entire range of lip balms and hand creams that come housed in tiny jars shaped like various fruits. I think I want to admit that I have so many of these in so many forms of fruits (apples, pears, lemons) that I can easily get a little basket, place them inside, and set it up on my kitchen table as a form of decoration.
Yeah, it’s a disease people.
Honestly, Sony CP isn’t the only brand in Japan (and other Asian countries) that adore shaping skincare like fruit. Gotta love kawaii packaging.
Recently a new hand cream and lip balm were introduced in a peachy flavor and I had to indulge as I’m quite the fan of peach scented/flavored anything.
Sony CP Peach Lip Balm is a moisturizing lip cream that has a milky, creamy look with a formula that contains Peach extract as well as Hyaluronic Acid Na. It has a peachy flavor and scent much not of the artificial variety in the least but a very real fuzzy peach flavor and scent.
Sony CP Hand Cream has the same ingredients and the same scent! It gets hands really smooth but its not a highly hydrating, moisturizing hand treatment. It runs a bit thin and has almost gel-like feel so if you’re used to a thicker hand cream formula this probably won’t do the trick for you however if you hands aren’t crazy dry, flaky this will be good for use throughout the day.
I think the novelty is definitely the cute factor however I’m a huge fan of the lip balm as it turns into an oily, emollient texture as it warms up and really softens my lips and heals chapped lips.
Dipping into the product with fingers is definitely a turn off but I try to overlook this in the favor of cuteness!
The hand cream isn’t as moisturizing as I’d like but its great for in between heavier creams.
- Anyone who likes kawaii beauty products.
- Anyone who wants a lip balm that heals chapped, dry lips!
- Anyone with dry, chapped hands (this prob won’t heal such a problem).
A friend of mine that lives in Tokyo sent these over to me but I’ve purchased them in shops and stores all over the city (New York area) and also online and E-bay for as little as $6 or $7 and in some cases even less so they aren’t a difficult to locate product if you have Asian communities in your city. If you like cuter beauty products these should appeal plus if the hand cream doesn’t sound like something you’d be interested in the lip balm is worth a haul as its extra soothing on dry, flaky lips particularly as we head deeper into the Winter.
Likey lots!
