Anyone get a vibe of MAC Warm & Cozy from the new Cham Pale Color Collection? Of course, it’s warm and cozy with nipples included….love that promo image dontcha? Oh stop now, I got dozens of e-mails and comments after that promo shot was posted with, “OMG Muse I see her nipple” it was like we were all teenage boys for a sec there although I do comfortably channel my own teenage boy on more days than I care to count….We all got two of ’em ourselves but for some odd reason we were fascinated that MAC went THERE. Think they’ll airbrush it out of the shot when it goes live in stores? Can’t have kids passing by a MAC store and saying, “Look mommy that lady has her nipple hanging out…” Heaven forbid!

No but seriously for some reason I get a bit of the Warm & Cozy vibe going on with Cham Pale this year perhaps that’s where some of my excitement stems from. I do believe, although paler and fairer, this collection might just sport a little something for every skin tone. I was playing around with a few pieces and so far I’m impressed and every so eager for its official launch on Boxing Day! ‘elloooooooooo MAC store Gift Certificate come to mama (yes, my friends and family can’t fool me, I know what I’m getting from Santa).

Hello, my name is the Muse and I’m a great hater of MAC Paint Pots.

Yeah, well, don’t shoot me. Sorry, I was never really a fan but the good news is in recent years I’ve come to enjoy the occasional Paint Pot or two. Blame Fafi for MAC as I think that’s what turned me on to them to begin with as some of the shades were my makeup life’s regret when I didn’t original haul them with the release and proceeded to run amok on E-bay trying to find them all. I also blame my friend Lilan (shout out to the Daily Cookie) for telling me way back when HOW could I NOT own the Fafi Paint Pots, was I mad?! Indeed, I must have been!

Moral of the story is I now tolerate MAC Paint Pots and the ones with Cham Pale?

You need ’em.

I only played with two shades but already I’m in love. Chilled on Ice is a frosty white gold as dubbed by MAC but I get elements of a golden white peach with hints of the palest pink. It’s STUNNING. Truly one for the haul people.

Dangerous Curve is a frosty cool gray with elements of graying grape and blue. It too is equally gorgeous.

Two other shades will be available which I haven’t had the chance to lay my greedy hands on but damn straight they shall be mine!

I also checked out the MAC Cham Pale Collection Special Reserve Highlight Powder and was pretty delighted. I don’t do highlighters so well but these impart a very soft focused glow on face and cheeks and pretty much will flatter all skin tones. I think olive and darker skin tones will absolutely love the glow it’ll give to cheeks. It does have fine shimmer in the mix but I felt like it has a healthier overspray of such which quickly swiped away to a more subtle glow. Chez Chez is a soft gold with silver shimmer that comes across golden beige on my skin and Rose Ole Soft is a delicate golden pink with gold shimmer. Both are must haves and keepers in my opinion. Although the design does resembled wrinkled up paper, don’t let it sway you from indulging, they are truly stunning pieces. Plus that Chez Chez name has me thinking Chaz Bono thoughts, shudder!

So far Cham Pale is promising to say the least. For paler girls you’ll find these products impart an ethereal glow and for those with darker skin you’ll find they highlight and accentuate places on your face and eyes very well.
