Mally Beauty Starlight Deluxe Eyeliner Library Review, Photos, Swatches
Don’t quote me on exact times and dates but Mally will be on QVC a few times over the next few days so you might wanna check her out to see if you can grab her sold out Starlight Deluxe Eyeliner Library. I’m not sure if she will have it on and available but it might be worth a Tivo.
Here’s my thoughts on it!
A special set featuring 10, full size Mally Beauty Starlight Eyeliners.
The set comes housed in a sturdy faux leather, pink case. I love the case and think it makes a great choice for storing and traveling with the liners in and hell other liners as well. The liners are all full size so really you’re getting a super deal here. Putting tax and shipping into the total I’m looking at $5 per liner or so.
They have a dreamy, creamy easy to blend formula much like Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eyeliner. They also happen to sport a waterproof formula which seems to wear quite well. I wore them through a bit of snow, a bit of rain, and just generally on an all over eye day and they wore long and strong without running, smearing, or creating dreaded raccoon eyes.
I think the best part of the collection is the sheer amount of variety you’re getting. You got your traditional shades such as brown and black but also other fabulous shades like pink, gold, and black cherry! It really covers a nice range of shades so if your eyeliner wardrobe was lacking a bit of color before this is a great way to amp it up!
Shades include:
- Midnight (black)
- Lucky Penny (bronze)
- Caribbean Sea (teal)
- Royal Plum
- Espresso
- Sailor (navy)
- Pink Champagne
- Starshine (silver)
- Golden (gold)
- Black Cherry (black cherry)
Out of all the shades my favs are Black Cherry, Pink Champagne, and Golden. Particularly Black Cherry and Pink Champagne stand out the most since they are liner shades you don’t see often or done right.
The finishes vary on the liners but many have a wicked liquid metal look and feel!
I had a bit of a tricky situation trying to line my waterline with some of the shades. Black and brown worked fine but some of the colored pencils just didn’t want to smooth on my inner rim as well as the more traditional shades, not sure why.
- Anyone wanting a solid performing eyeliner in a variety of shades at a great price.
- Anyone wanting a formula that wears long and strong.
- Anyone who loves UD 24/7 Eyeliners.
- Anyone who wants an eyeliner that glides on sans tugging with a formula that smudges and blends easily!
- Anyone who doesn’t favor color and prefers more traditional liner shades like black or brown only.
I thought the set was a killer value and I’m hopeful they’ll bring it back with Mally’s next appearance on QVC. It was available for a limited time and sold out so quickly…….I know alot of you grabbed it for yourselves, please do share what you thoughts were about the set! Overall, a really fabulous deal that I’m happy to have in my stash!
Very Muse Approved for purchase (if and when it becomes available again).
